Despite being both 6-1s, smug vs gossip girl was a lot closer than that indicates, and was filled with great plays. If people have time they should watch that vod too.

riotbzreviving this thread to say that koosta won
Yeah, no contest right now.
lootI was wondering why it took him over half an hour to restart his pc
Well that was his computer starting to die.
After he got in and we readyd up he died for good.
Team might be RIP. Stealthys computer died and i think our med is leaving.
4812622the secret is to lead the team so they cant cut you
hey thats what i did this season (im probably still going to get cut)
that was a super fun cast, cant wait to see fozzlm and ton do the best of 5 grand finals!
I tweeted out a poll, if it gets enough votes we may talk about the results on stream:

I am so looking forward to cast this
MapleDreamboatLiquid has a stand in for adren by the sounds of it, while the standin might be an upgrade, the chemistry probably won't be there, so I don't see them doing that well unfortunately.
They're using M0e as a standin for Koosta (who replaced adreN).
I might be underestimating moes fit with liquid,, but I don't think that changes my prediction. I hope I am mistaken though.
Predictions:
Group A: Flipsid3, G2
G2 is still a very good team, be surprised if they don't make it.
Flipsid3 has significantly more LAN experience than NME or tempo, this does have fan bias.
Curious to see how NME play with their lack of LAN experience, if they can handle the pressure. My guess is they finish last.
Tempo looked really good at IEM online, but that was also with Fallen standing behind them(probably coaching). They should beat NME, their game with flipsides will be close, but I don't see them beating G2. You never know though.
Group B: Hellraisers, Mousesports
Liquid has a stand in for adren by the sounds of it, while the standin might be an upgrade, the chemistry probably won't be there, so I don't see them doing that well unfortunately.
Team you porn has two people with visa issues, so with two standins I don't see them doing well at all.
Mouse has a ton of firepower, so I had them making it regardless of the other teams issues
HR is the only other team that isn't using a substitute for this group, which is why they get in.
Group C: CLG, SKGaming
This group is interesting for me:
Don't know a lot about mongolz, they did beat renegades, so depending how CLG/Renegades goes today I might change my mind.
Vexed will definitely compete hard, could easily see them make it.
Last time I watched CLG, they looked very good against EnVy on overpass. If they bring that form they should make it.
Haven't seen much of SK, but they look solid, so I have them winning a spot too.
Group D: Dignitas, Cloud9
Dignitas might be the best team at the event.
I might be trusting skadoodle on LAN too much with my c9 pick. Stewie hasn't been great on LAN. This might be a very bad pick.
I'm curious to see how the +ustillo renegades do.
Old Hellraisers (Gambit) are a big wild card for me.
This is easily the hardest to predict group. Lots of question marks outside of Dignitas.
SideshowI've rarely felt the need to wear a coat indoors, and certainly never a scarf. How cheap is Thorin?
Why would he be cheap though, he makes mad scrilla on alpha draft!
One thing I didn't think of is who plays for liquid at the major/qualifier?
Will adren play if he's being replaced, or will they pick up a new 5th? Who is even available, who would consider doing it, since if they play in the major they can't play in the minors?
Red_Pendathe elige + nitro entry combo is godlike right now, so there is no way they would cut elige over adren
That's not true at all. Since like 3 months ago that hasn't been true it's been nitr0 making elige look good (and elige's CT sides have been pretty weak as of recent) and anyway I said I would prefer adren but elige is cool too
I guess it comes down to the call structure of the team.
Cutting adren shifts who calls, depending who the new IGL is, and depending how good an IGL they are will change whether it was the right move or not. Basically, I would rather keep adren over elige if the new call structure sucks. That said, if the new IGL is better, cutting adren is a good move, as it allows the leadership change, and gives elige a chance to rebound into better form, as objectively, he has more potential than adren.
