#9 A quick survey on cyber bullying in Off Topic

1) What is your definition of cyber-bullying?
People being awful to other people online.

2) Have you experienced cyber-bullying?
Yes, although I ignore it for the most part.

3) In your opinion, how different is cyber-bullying from traditional bullying
It's psychological more than physical, a lot of traditional bullying is usually physical, although I guess namecalling would be considered psychological abuse (which is mainly what happens in cyber-bullying).

4) Do you feel that cyber-bullying is a problem in the community? (ETF2L/ TF2)
It's a problem in every community, a direct thing in TF2 I can immediately relate this to is hackers that go after people that specifically stream TF2 to get them to stop streaming TF2 as much as possible.

5) If anonymity on the internet was removed, do you think it will effect cyber-bullying?
Nope, just look at Blizzard and their REALID service. People are still willing to be garbage dumpsters even if you can apply a name and a face to someone. :V

#82 Attention Twitch Streamers in Off Topic

kind of sad about the opening post because he was one of two csgo streamers that i actually watched/followed on twitch

also the arguments going on in this topic are really silly

idk how people can possibly relate being gay as having a mental illness or being the same thing as pedophilia, but it doesn't surprise me that people can think that way in the slightest

#15 An Ode to all Teamplayers in Videos

this is a fantastic video

Rayteki remember when people used to comm and try in pubs

you cant even find 1 server like that anymore (at least in NA)
those were the days

you can definitely get people hyped to win in servers, i've managed to do it in valve servers, so i'm sure anyone can do it anywhere

communicating in pubs can easily create a chain reaction and have everyone start to do it

#195 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

i played against ari before and didn't think he was fishy, but those stats are definitely fishy, but they could have also just been because they are imbalanced tf2center games

#7 low fps on tf2 with gtx 970 in Q/A Help

yeah what other people said

tf2 is largely dependent on your cpu, and since streaming takes a ton of processor power (especially if you're streaming @ 60 fps) it's going to take a large toll on your performance

i have similar specs and get massive fps loss while streaming as well, but the only thing you can really do about it is to get a capture card/dedicated streaming set up or upgrade your current parts even further to mitigate the impact that streaming causes

#232 bwHUD in Customization

my only complaint so far is the new hurt colors/low ammo as they are really hard to read right away with red/white on red, but that's easily changed anyways

edit: actually after looking around for a bit, i can't find the value where the white shading is compared to the old huds black shadows while hurt/buffed @_@

edit 2: i've ghettofixed this by just dragging the old HudAnimations_tf.txt file into the scripts file, i'm not sure if that breaks anything, but it gets it back to how i liked it

#10 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion
Mr_OwlFox
What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?
I think it's absolutely awful lol. People in top open should be playing in IM, so it was a bit weird gauging people because divisions don't really matter since there's so many players that are good in open.

Isn't this pretty normal? In every season I've been a part of there have been a couple teams at the top of open who would compete for playoffs in IM. At least it's not like s14 when rastlemania was scrimming invite teams by the end of the season. Usually the top half of open playoffs is on level with the non-playoff IM teams, or at least not too far behind.

it has always been like that, but that's still answering the question lol

the distribution is a joke

#5 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion

How did you feel about your season? What were the good and bad points?
I thought I did well in matches this season. Ended up not finishing the season though.

What specific expectations did you have, and which ones got fulfilled? Which ones didn't?
I got to scrim against low invite teams this season and invite pug teams, which is something that I never got to really do before. I wanted to get top 5 in IM, but that didn't happen.

How do you feel about the logistics of playing scrims and matches?
What is this question even asking lol? I felt like scrims were stupid because everyone booked scrims in 30 minute intervals in IM, and that's definitely not enough time to play against someone on most maps unless it was going to be a roll, or people actually getting into the server on time. Throughout the entire season people would be dropping planned scrims because a better team would ask to play, so it would make it even more silly trying to get scrims, because if you didn't have a bunch planned out, you were probably going to be getting subpar scrims. If you're asking about how I feel playing scrims and matches, I guess it's just a natural part of the game? what?

What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?
I think it's absolutely awful lol. People in top open should be playing in IM, so it was a bit weird gauging people because divisions don't really matter since there's so many players that are good in open.

Will you be playing in S19? If not, what is stopping you from playing again?
Probably not, waiting on other games and I didn't have too much fun this season. I don't want to compete in a game that is not supported by its developers anymore.

How do you feel about how ESEA compares to other leagues?
What other leagues lol? idk how people outside of NA play, but I guess since europeans pug system integrates with where they are in the league, I guess that's a bit cool. UGC has always been the introductory league in terms of 6s, and is pretty unmatched besides etf2l for highlander.

Are there any specific resources you feel like would help you as a player?
In-game matchmaking and developer support. I tried to play tf2centers more, but everyone else seems to not take them seriously, and my latest centers have ended with people throwing/joking around more often than actually trying to improve/win.

Would you recommend people to play ESEA? If so, under what conditions?
If they want to play against actual competition in 6v6 and are located in NA, yes?

What's your next goal?
Create more youtube content for TF2/other games.

edit: oh i didn't realize this is only for open teams lmao
