idk if this will help you or not, but i treated school like a game

it really helped me out thinking about things like math as part of a game, and all the homework assignment as individual quests and silly things like that, but it really helped me because i completely stopped playing everything except for highlander (which was 2-3 days a week for only about 1-2 hrs) until i finished school with honors

school is a grind, and i think if you don't try to make it fun for yourself, it's going to really burn you out

a side-note is that my friend does this exact same thing, except he uses it as motivation to work out, and it helped him turn into a gym junkie

it's the same thing as thinking yourself as a character in a videogame, and you're literally gaining experience to level yourself up

what do you order

i was majoring in criminal justice to work for the justice system, but after taking about 2 years of classes, i got really depressed in the system and switched to computer science instead

it really sucked since the school i went to specialized in criminal justice/forensics and they dropped their computer science program while i was attending for their new nursing program, so i probably got a really subpar education in terms of actually learning anything relevant in my computer science classes lol

ironically enough i currently work for a law firm, although they specialize in bankruptcy law, although my current job has nothing to do with computers, i just generally do anything they need me to do

i want to eventually get into working on special effects, whether it be for film or for theater, but it's hard finding a way to start in that field with no real artistic background besides photography (lol)

it's cool to have a plan for what you want to do in life, but don't be surprised if the situation changes along your journey to get there

i have to say that i stopped following invite tf2 completely the moment froyo was made, and stopped watching most casts once mix^ disbanded

like it was already stated before, it's definitely not froyo's fault

there's just no one in NA with as much drive/like-minded teammates to contest them as it stands right now lol

idk how casual players feel about random damage spread, but that is the number one thing that drives me crazy in pubs

i don't care about random critical hits as much as having consistent damage numbers

it's so weird charging up a shot and dealing a ranged number as sniper, which makes it a diceroll if you can kill someone with a headshot + bodyshot

the standard valve rotation maps are cp_granary, cp_dustbowl, cp_gullywash_final1, cp_gravelpit, cp_yukon_final, cp_snakewater_final1, cp_badlands, cp_fastlane, cp_dustbowl, cp_well (do not add this), cp_coldfront (there's updated versions of this called warmfront, but casual players would never pub on it), cp_standin (do not put this on your servers), ctf_2fort, ctf_well (do NOT add this), pl_goldrush, pl_badwater, pl_upward

i pub a lot and often look for servers that are on snakewater, gullywash, badlands, or granary, but there's rarely any active servers that stay on capture point rotations

i'd turn off random crits and damage spread, but idk how many pubbers like those options, there's not many servers that run those cvars

i think the most important thing is having active admins and having players actually playing because a lot of servers like star_'s east coast server are plagued by hackers, which basically automatically kills the server since there's only 1-2 active server moderators
