i think it is funnier imagining someone practicing jabbing their mouse for 16 hours a day at light speed while sniping in team fortress 2
they usually do take note of the more public and top privately used cheats
it's just that they let it sit for a few weeks/months and then have a huge vac-ban wave after people consider hacks to be 100% safe to use lol
SleepingLifeFoxhl stuff
You bring up some good points but OP is trying to talk about 6s transitions, not highlander. I think that the majority of 6s classes have a lot of niche things you need to learn to be able to do well, only class that would transition easily in my opinion is scout.
oh oops
i completely misinterpreted the last thing he said lol
i think it's a toss up between demo and medic
demo rollouts are tough to practice, but are vital for a teams mid success
actually doing damage and calling it can be tough in 6s too, especially the higher division you play in (since people will be actively dodging and getting in your face, while also hurting you a lot)
medics have to really think about scenarios and instantly assess it to really do well, and that would be hard coming from only pubbing to competitive
like they might know in certain situations when to pop from pub medding, but at the same time they might not have the full trust they have to have when playing with a team such as in scenarios where they have to decide to milk the uber or when to actively aggro on a team when both teams almost have uber or when to actually retreat
pub medics usually don't have the most dependable people to uber in, so they'll end up retreating too soon or going too far deep most of the time, which is seen in a lot of newer medics imo
i'm assuming reskins = to the regular weapons
i just want to make sure i am going to have my sword equipped if basher is allowed and not find out mid-match lol
edit: also cozy camper not banned :O
no recoil on damage taken/more passive healing
although you have no access to smg and take more damage
i think demo is one of the easiest outside of learning initial rollouts
demo dm definitely carries over from pubstar demos to competitive highlander demos
i would honestly think spy or heavy or engineer are the actual hardest to transition into because you're playing against much better players than you would actually see in pubs
it's very easy to die if you don't understand that people work together in highlander with any of those classes, and being dead means a lot more for your team than if you were just a pubstar rather than playing highlander
you have to be aware of sightlines and the areas that people tend to be in, which might differ depending on how coordinated teams are
people trash on heavies and engineers a lot, but playing them at a high competitive level in highlander will show you that it's not that easy since if you're out of place for even a second, you're likely to get picked off
spy becomes increasingly harder as you play against better players (and better pyros) of course lol
i wonder how long people are going to be active again lol
i really enjoyed the tracks you picked
my jaw dropped at that medic pick between the pipes at gullywash last LMAO
i am looking for team as scout
i'd really love to play since this will probably be the only time i get lan ping ever :<
probably one of the best medics imo tbh
i still have fun with it even though i've been playing it almost every day since beta lol
things like headshots or collateral kills still give me immense satisfaction
every other multiplayer fps game i've played had sniper mechanics that were either too slow or too boring or too complicated to play
most fps games i've tried out are too slow or completely dead tbh
i've been wanting to play 6s again for a while now, i tried last season and got cut the day the season started due to my highlander schedule, so i've quit highlander to focus on 6s
since i haven't played since season 11, i'm extremely inexperienced with a lot of the newer maps outside of process (i.e. metalworks/coalplant/sunshine/any new strats from the older maps that don't get used in PUGs)
i won't stream scrims if people are uncomfortable with it, i just honestly want to play again
i work mornings/i've graduated from college, so i can scrim as early as people want me to
on sundays i usually have to go at 6 pm HST (-10 gmt), but i can make exceptions during playoffs/for matches
i don't want to back up, and i don't care what division people are playing in as long as it's either cevo or esea
only problem is i'm flying to EVO this weekend to compete, so i can't really scrim until i get back on tuesday and i know the leagues are already starting (i leave wednesday night -- tomorrow)
my main goal is to improve my decision-making (since all i've been doing is playing in PUGs/highlander for the past few years), and i'll be working on derusting my dm for a competitive environment
i'd prefer to play with people i know
grcIm currently learning Sly Cooper any% and Super Meat Boy any%, but I want to learn HL 1 and maybe Portal 2 Co-op (if anyone wants do this pls help). I've ran Antichamber, Portal, and Escape Goat 2 in the past though.
e: I just remembered at AGDQ last year there was a game called Gimmick! that I would love to run, it looked super damn cool.
gimmick rules, the only problem is that if you want to "officially" run it, the cart itself is insanely expensive
infernoHDI've gotten into running Hotline Miami but still haven't even gotten a time because every time I try I mess up and restart which is dumb, because I can't work to pb, but I guess it is because I want my first time to be good.
I'm also interested in running half-life 2, just because ABHing is fun as hell to do and I like the source engine. But I have too much on my "videogame plate" for now, so ill just stick to hotline and getting better at tf2 for the time being.
tbh you should just do a full run and try to improve it rather than just trying to force a good run to happen before you accept it as your first run lol
