Going to donate so we can get Froyotech over to i55, then watch and laugh as AYO GURL smash them 5-0 in 6 minutes with 2 hours of sleep, before they have their morning lagers.

GeknaiirHildrethYou're on Viaduct as a Soldier, on a 5k, feeling good, just double airshot their Demoman and directed their scout, then you walk through the tunnel on the far side of the point and you meet a Pyro. You're the type of nigga to say mini down have fun on scout and then ruin my life because the mini wasnt actually destroyed and around the corner.
Your TF2 experience is instantly ruined.
Motherfucker.
This is accurate except I am not black.

ProSkeezTyrone works for iBuyPower now if we're talking about occupations, and iirc he said he talked about him leading competitive TF2 teams to help him get the job.
Yeah did exactly same thing when I started work.
If i know something a generation of TF2 players are shifting and moving on in the real world, it would not surprise me to see half this scene running the world in 20 years time, the amount of talent and dedication we have.
Enjoyable write up.
I think Kids Next Door's success can be attributed to Kresnik's ability to keep his team interested and practicing, to win two seasons running with good competition like mTs and h8 provided is not a fluke, it takes dedication and hard work to keep pulling off victories. I give every credit to Kresnik and his crew for staying together and practicing hard. If they still have the same motivation to win it come the end of the season, then it will be an unmatched achievement on Highlander.
The new Ginyu Force is exciting but I think will suffer from the same lessons teams have had...living off past glories, big names and such. What they need is their captain to turn up and tell all the players everything they have achieved is completely worthless, then they might actually sweat and try super hard to win. Lot of rosters here have ability but I don't think any of them will beat KnD unless they really want it and make sacrifices to get it.
_CFoxHildreth_CFoxCHERRYDo we have any South Americans here?
https://saloon.tf/match/403/
yeah. by the way, its good to note that this match is this season's grand final of our highest division
Do a write up of it, people will want to know. I am curious but I know nothing about it
truth is our community is in a bad state right now where people aren't too hyped about the game anymore and not many people are feeling like doing much. tho I can say to you that the last time these two teams faced each other, two weeks ago, it looked like it was a pretty close game, with kodo's team winning gullywash 3x2 and viaduct 4x3. afaik, 1st has arguably more experienced players, and I think that if they are in form, they could win.
A good game can bring the hype back: http://www.vanillatf2.org/2014/12/how-fakkelbrigade-saved-european-tf2-with-help-from-byte/
A write up and go a long way, when people see others paying attention to them, can influence them more.

why is Ringo Starr commentating?
CHERRYNot_MatlockOkay, now I'm legitimately curious as to the differences of having implants under the breast tissue, vs under the muscle, and why one would chose one over the other.Basically you can tan without the pain. Also feels better.
Speaking from experience?
bowswer5HildrethI got 3000 hours on Demo and I never saw any difference with loch n load and pipes, blub never switched to them. When you played Demo for so long and don't have much time to practise, makes zero difference to me what pipe launcher I use after thousands hours practising with one.
I also think the roller damage and the extra spam/area denial potential for pipe bombs is quite strong...it may only be 30-40 damage on the floor but if you spam 4 pipes in an entrance, you got better area denial potential than 3 pipes which do not do damage if you do not his a direct.
Think the fact opinion is so divided on the issue proves that ETF2L are on the right track, I guarantee in a couple seasons it won't be a contentious issue anymore.
What? The reason UGC banned the Loch 'n Load very quickly after the update is because top NA teams tested it out and found it to be completely ridiculous when it was actually used to its full potential. NA Demos were dealing more damage with the Loch than with stickies which is ludicrous. Overall Demo DPM also increased meaning that the Loch having a larger share of total damage couldn't have been a misconception that stickies were being used less in those games.
More to TF2 than just DPM and Kills, game is decided a lot by the mental factor. For instance, you see spam concentrated in a particular area you do not push that area unless you like to lose hit points for nothing, meaning time is taken off the clock, push is delayed or your decision changes based on the reactions of the opponents.
Stats aren't the be all and end all of performance, the only stat that matters is the result.
lazybearI think it's really rare to have a weapon even the Americans have banned now unlocked for Europe. Typically we've been the most stingy and we've had extended testing of most weapons, usually checking it's performance and issues in NA UGC or experimental cups. The December buff to lock and load is just ridiculous, and I can't help but think that Valve actually considered it a nerf, but decided to "throw in" an extra grenade per clip to compensate for the (very) small damage decrease, and they even added a 25% self damage decrease. I feel sorry for heavies who needs to play against this and personally would want it banned. A toddler wouldn't miss those pipes, and the regular pipe launcher is a beautiful weapon with a very high skill ceiling. Lock and load are none of these things. Whenever you see a weapon that forces everyone to switch to it, (which is what I did with crit-a-cola in season 6) it's generally bad for the scene.

Sideshow
The highlander grand final happened yesterday which ended in an upset causing people to lose a fair bit of ecurrency. Nobody got DDOSed. I am inclined to believe that there is no link between saloontf and DDOSing; people did it before and will do it again, but it makes no sense to blame betting or even consider removing it. Just gotta try and make it as hard as possible for people to do it.
Outcomes on one game with higher stakes not being affected by DDoS does not provide conclusive evidence that there isn't a link between DDoS attacks and particular matches. However all evidence in this instance is circumstantial, you cannot go around accusing people of influencing the results through a third party or otherwise based on their friends betting patterns, there isn't enough evidence to suggest this and though it could be possible, without any concrete evidence you cannot determine guilt.
There is conclusive evidence TLR Nico violated ToS by betting on his own game and he may be held accountable for this, but beyond that there isn't anything else wrong and I think it is unfair to TLR to suggest they might be involved in a DDoS attack.
However I wouldn't rule out this sort of thing happening or being a reality - When money is involved, human nature and greed will lead to people being corrupt, strong rules and guidelines need to be put in place, leagues need to address the issue. Even if they have to look at other leagues and how they address the issue with CS:GO Lounge, I'd expect any policy-setter to be ahead of the game on this.
Who even has time to do this?
Problem isn't Saloon.tf, problem is people's greed. Site that is potentially good for growth and interest into competitive TF2 should not be shut down based on an isolated incident. Don't let fear defeat you, stay strong my brother Sheepy.
That is if someone even did DDoS scrab because of Saloon.
Follow advice given by others to protect from DDoS attacks as standard, especially if you expect to be casted.
Also ETF2L couldn't ban Saloon from putting bets up on their matches, even if they tried. Only person who can is Cherry, though efforts can be made to find and ban those attempting to abuse the system, ultimately responsibility lies with the user, not the creator. This isn't the Atomic Bomb that's been created, it's a hobby betting website on virtual items.
Btw were ETF2L ever going to fix their rules regarding potential for abuse on Saloon? Been months.
