#7 ETF2L Premiership Qualifiers in Events

I seen g0r3 play, he's quality, he is defo Prem standards by today's definition, but he's a humble bloke.

#44 TF2C PSA: Recent Influx of New Players in The Dumpster

Video is funny - You guys stack a lobby and proceed to wreck the other team then say "this isn't fair". Don't stack the lobby in the first place.

TF2C do a balancing act of trying to cater to new players and more experienced players and create detailed guides, they can always improve their service but overall they have done a fantastic job bringing new people into the scene, but leagues fail to keep them interested so they don't transition to leagues or LANs but stay in lobbies.

#159 i55 in TF2 General Discussion

I-series is "spiritually" the TF2 World Championships - 3 Multi National LANs isn't something to choke about.

With any sport, you have events every year and different levels of competitions, I think TF2 wins if the best team wins, not if the event is spectacular. It's really up to Froyotech to make this happen, they are the best team in the world, they are the reigning champions of the world, so if they choose to come to i55 and roll the Euros and whoever else we fund over, good for them, good for the "sport" of TF2.

Froyotech don't have much to prove but by simply turning up to the event they will raise the stakes, because at i55 with no International teams it will turn into a European Championship (which will be fine as a later article I will publish will tell you), but less hype.

If you think of all the great sporting teams or individuals that dominate their era, some years they win with better competition, some years they roll the competition and you have to sit there and admire their genius. That's why Froyotech coming to i55 would be a great thing, skipping a year doesn't do anything healthy, though individuals might be in a better position financially for the next year, but what if there isn't a next year? I can't see how not having the best team turn up to the biggest and best TF2 event in the year can be anything except unhelpful for the scene.

#46 Mirelin is Retiring. in TF2 General Discussion
SideshowEoNblendtecIf almost every prem team is dead are any new like high prem teams being made? There are teams like TLR making a comeback, also there is a team with zebbo stark, fl1p, exon, and a few others coming, when a team or player leaves it is not only the end of an era (The death of mixup) but the beginning of a new one, new players like AMS, nukkye, etc. Will usher in a new age, sideshow's team have their etf2l debut in s21, just adding more layers to the story of this game.
I hate to break it to you, and I'm normally a very positive person about this, but it really doesn't seem to be looking good for this season of ETF2L. The top 3 (zizi tlr reason) will be fine, but the mid and low prem look pretty poop/empty. We folded, lots of good players quit, the frenchies haven't got a team at all any more, and all the upcomers are essentially in the 3 best teams or have taken a break...

...doesn't look great for i55 but I am confident that there will be a resurgence afterwards given recent events. People always come back, they just get a bit burnt out.

Welcome to ETF2L Highlander for past 2 seasons.

See if any of the new teams do stuff first....couple of talented players add to an upcoming roster and you might see a team cause some upsets.

W/O derailing thread, Mirelin you are a legend of TF2 since the days of FB to now. RIP.

#88 Fully Charged! Valve and Competitive TF2 - Episode 42 in Events

Question for the cast: How will the matchmaking mode link to existing competitive leagues, community or otherwise? How will a new player know of ETF2L/UGC's existence for example?

Great news, great work by the TF2 team, didn't think they could make a difference!

Only question remains (sorry if it's been answered but I don't have time to read 8 pages) what format will the match making be?

#1 ETF2L Highlander Season 8 Week 5: Fair Enough vs. Tourettes Chessclub in Events

For those betting on saloon, to copy Kkaltuu's thing:

Why Chessclub?
- Reigning champions
- They have Breakfast Jnr the best Heavy
- They have Lazybear, the Highlander player with most accolades.
- Scissors has them practice regularly so they don't drop points to Russians.
- They have Kaptain on Soldier.

Why Fair Enough?
- They think it's "their season" and I think they practice more than anyone else.
- Hartz and his Beggars Bazooka
- Currently top of Prem, albeit with easy schedule.
- They have Death on Demoman, the form Demo this season.
- Smart enough to play a gorgeous Heavy main named Qnai instead of Kkaltuu. (If only Bulow had learned this trick).

#73 Jeremy Clarkson suspended from the BBC in Off Topic

Yawn Clarkson still....he's boring. One mildly entertaining TV show and people want a man who performed GBH on someone to be forgiven, it's pathetic. It's dead, Clarkson killed it by acting like a knobhead, go watch something else.
