Every i-series has been fantastic to watch since my first one at i42. Another intercontinental LAN would be fantastic and once again, a pleasure to watch. If the community lets it happen and funds the best teams over, once again we would surpass ourselves as a scene. It doesn't matter about the quality of the players, every season we think a legend of the game or one of the best players / teams make the scene stronger but believe you and me there are so many really keen and dedicated and talented players in the scene practicing so hard, the competition will never truly die, but I really want to see a story in 6v6 where the big boys are taken down by a team of unknowns or up-comers. We've seen it in Highlander (usually happens when the big boys lose motivation and don't put in the performances they need to to win).
Froyotech, Mixup, Epsilon, Immunity were all amazing teams but I wouldn't mind continuing to watch TF2 for the next 10 years and never seeing one of their legendary players touch the game again, so long as we continue to have a competitive and high level of competition. That will continue to happen if new people come in...
If any of you guys watched the two Archimedes Cup finalists, both those teams were TF2center/div 6 and some of their players were really talented. I watched newbie cups from the past and I could tell a lot of players were "newbies" but these kids obviously practised a lot. (also goes to show how money is a motivator).
