#10 Just a little goodbye in TF2 General Discussion

He brought HL to European TF2.
He freed BeaVerN by pushing the AC reform.
He made the mixups happen and brought millions of unique views to TF2.
He kept Inso out of the Team Sweden team based on legacy alone.

This guy is a legend and the scene is weaker for not having him.

PyromancerHildrethHyped for this, production values are incredible here.

Having read the books and the watched the UK series this was based on, Spoilers!
I hope that every game you play from now on you lose you son of a bitch.

Ey? None of this is in the series, they changed a lot of the things in the book, it's merely a guess of the direction they're going to go, it's called speculating, it isn't spoilers.

But I edited my comment for you sunshine.

This proves once and for all aliens are real.

I don't see why people are making light of this, this is a serious and next level discovery and we should all be freaking out right now!

#22 thoughts on finding scrims in TF2 General Discussion

Can I just point people in the direction of:

http://scrim.tf/
http://scrim.me/

Also it's embarrassing to still see us insisting people use IRC because that has always been the way. It isn't 2008 anymore, let's start using these brilliant websites people are creating that do the exact same purpose but make it easier for everyone. When you're at the top you know everyone anyway, but when you're newer or in the middle tier of this game, it's a lot harder to do and IRC is such an outdated way of doing things.

I notice TF.TV use slack for their organization, and things like Trello. Meanwhile other orgs still use IRC and insist people should change to suit their needs, not the organizations should change to suit their consumers needs!

#108 i55 in TF2 General Discussion

Every i-series has been fantastic to watch since my first one at i42. Another intercontinental LAN would be fantastic and once again, a pleasure to watch. If the community lets it happen and funds the best teams over, once again we would surpass ourselves as a scene. It doesn't matter about the quality of the players, every season we think a legend of the game or one of the best players / teams make the scene stronger but believe you and me there are so many really keen and dedicated and talented players in the scene practicing so hard, the competition will never truly die, but I really want to see a story in 6v6 where the big boys are taken down by a team of unknowns or up-comers. We've seen it in Highlander (usually happens when the big boys lose motivation and don't put in the performances they need to to win).

Froyotech, Mixup, Epsilon, Immunity were all amazing teams but I wouldn't mind continuing to watch TF2 for the next 10 years and never seeing one of their legendary players touch the game again, so long as we continue to have a competitive and high level of competition. That will continue to happen if new people come in...

If any of you guys watched the two Archimedes Cup finalists, both those teams were TF2center/div 6 and some of their players were really talented. I watched newbie cups from the past and I could tell a lot of players were "newbies" but these kids obviously practised a lot. (also goes to show how money is a motivator).

#12 Top 10 TF2 plays - November 2014 in Videos

Some of the killstreaks here aren't that impressive, like the guy at Number 2 who baits his team for frags, one point he could have kept his teammates alive by shooting the people that paid no attention to him and were pressuring his combo but he instead chose to chase their medic. It results in a clip of hilarity as their opponents lose a combination of 1v1's verse the guy. Good DM yes, but bad teamwork and fight could have been decisively won if he'd made the right decisions originally.

And you Deox, you team baiting spy main you - I swear not one of them looked at you throughout your clip.

#1 was sic, lot of other great frags and good edit as per norm.

#49 A little chat about rules and sportsmanship in TF2 General Discussion

One thing I can say about sportsmanship and rules is, no matter how much you try to make the game as fair as possible, you will always have certain teams and/or leaders who will feed off of any unfortunate situation and always deny mercs, always search for default wins or want to play the game of fair and level terms and always refuse to give the tiniest bit of leeway in order to have a good game of TF2. I have personally had many rivalries with teams, but whenever we played eachother we always wanted a fair game and gone to extreme lengths to co-operate with each-other.

I just can't stand teams and leaders who always go for the default win or deny mercs because they would rather be rewarded for being more organized and ready to start on time than actually being the better team like a certain HL team I know. No amount of rules will prevent people being bad sports, all we can do as leagues is try to find the fine line where those who do not take the piss are given fair game and those who do learn their lesson. It's not easy.

#4 UGC Highlander Season 15 Week 2 in News
brooky12All credit goes to Hildreth's ETF2L reviews, I shamelessly stole the code from that and modified it for my use!

I stole that from someone else, probably Admirable it's cool bro.

I enjoyed the read, interesting seeing some unknowns. I saw some of mTs vs KnD last night and impressed by the teamplay of KnD, pulling out a win vs mTs on a 5cp map against Squid/Harb is pretty impressive. Scizor is defo a top player, big ups to Europe's 2nd best team for winning there.

#6 Top 10 Clips - Jan in Videos

If there is a disappointing level of submissions, I still can't see why you don't go on ESEA, download the STV demo and look through clips from big games, or from ETF2L Premiership, doing it for both HL + 6's (it's in the rules yo'). If you expect people to subscribe for the Patreon campaign, I expect eXtv to take a step up in their production and take more of an initiative.
