Don't be afraid to delay when walking through a choke that's being spammed. Making sure you don't catch a pipe and/or rocket can be the difference between a drop and free ground for your team. That being said, don't just stand back baiting your team in safety while they're getting shot at trying to make a play. It's a fine line that medics have to walk, but eventually the demo/soldiers will have to reload rockets and pipes/stickies.

To be quite honest there's not a lot in the game that people have discovered that's necessarily "new". We're far past the stage of reinventing the wheel, so that's why you'll get some negative comments here when there's something that's really just a variant of what's already been explored.
That being said, improvements to existing things/methods will always be welcome. For example, I recently found that a new path to mid on cp_sunshine was possible and when compared to the standard rollout, I found roughly a 3 second difference, which is a lot of time if used correctly. I remember seeing sigh pull it off during the faceit cup and honestly I couldn't be happier that what I had discovered had an impact at the highest level of the game.
Don't take it that personally. Despite what the r/tf2 people say about competitive players a lot of people you will meet on here are actually very nice people. And we may joke and put our hands on our heads in a NotLikeThis fashion, but without the casual playerbase and the drive of the competitive players to further the game it would honestly have died a long time ago.
dumpster bound(?)
also whatever graphics cfg you're looking for comanglia's probably got you covered
are you asking what's the difference or what people prefer because 2 answers can be given here
good luck mr nofapn
Best thing that you can do tough it out until the end of the year and get your own place off campus next year. I went through what you were going through last year, and I was fortunate enough that my dorm room had an Ethernet jack to connect to.
Either way you're probably better off than I am in terms of Wi-Fi connection while playing
:D
fen_joshuawnit's the same as listening to music while studying, if you were to take an exam while listening to music you'd retain your info much better. Thats a really out there idea though marxist i'm gonna try it out this weekMarxist.
wtf LOL
I've heard a similar method but people would use chewing gum as an alternative to the vick's that Marxist was suggesting
Pug groups honestly aren't as bad as you're making them to be. Also just having good DM will get you noticed easily, or at the very least asking better players in a pug mumble for advice in certain situations will get you labeled as someone on the come-up
Also there's always going to be an asshole in esea that thinks he's a god but is utterly awful. Don't let that one experience ruin things for you. If it's an issue of your team not being capable enough to handle higher levels of play when you know for sure that you can, then it's a little bit more on you to find a team that suits your skill level better.
tf2c, in game matchmaking, and pugchamp to an extent are counterproductive if you're looking to get better fast. Work on your fundamentals when you're not in a chance to play actual competitive tf2. Jump/surf maps and mge/DM are what build your fundamentals. But too much isn't good. Watch demos of yourself and higher level players that play your role and develop a better sense of how the game works. You'll be surprised at how fast you rise in skill.
Professor Pro looking hot going into top 8
really rooting for n0ne to upset Armada but Armada rarely gets upset
TsarbucksHow are you people already having finals? My midterms aren't until January.
College
Personally, some low intensity instrumental music is fantastic for me when I'm studying. Also, the obvious removal of distractions like my phone really help when I'm in for a long study session. If your finals are in about 2 weeks like mine are, start studying now. It's so much better to have seemingly too much time to prepare than to end up pulling an all nighter and cramming the day before.
One exclusive thing that helps my mentality of doing the work is to establish a goal of things that I want to accomplish, and focus on that one thing. Be sure to get up every once in a while. Stand up, take a short walk, and possibly do some stretching if you feel like your productivity levels have dipped since you began studying.
As for the content itself, don't just re-read the content to try and memorize it. It doesn't work as well as you'd think. Instead, try and process the content you're studying and put it in your own words. If you can't put it in your own words, then you probably don't know the content well enough.
Dollyunfwhats the point of soapboxing about tf2c on tftv
these threads are getting tiresome
I didn't realise I'm not allowed to post on a literal tf2 forum because babby gets twired :>
it has nothing to do with you not being able to post threads about it, but the discussion of people wanting to abandon tf2c for something better like faceit or tf2stadium has been going on for a while now.

Even though it's just 2 threads, a lot of people have agreed that tf2c isn't a good site, just as you had listed in your original post. It's not that your opinion is necessarily unpopular, but the phrase "preaching to the choir" kind of applies here.
SnackKonceptOne of my roommates is such a fucking scumbag and I'm honestly getting sick of him thinking he can do whatever the fuck he wants. He invites random guys over to play video games but often don't leave until it's about 2 in the morning. It's also a common thing for them to end up smoking the devil's lettuce and yell and make a lot of racket. I don't mind it that much but when I'm trying to study or get some shut eye, it really gets on my nerves.
My room also backs up to the living room where they usually camp out so I don't have much else of an option for a place to get away from a lot of it. I also don't have any nearby friends that I can just get away to so I can get some peace and quiet, so all of this is incredibly frustrating for me. I may be extra critical of this stuff because I have had a headache the entire day but this alongside waking up to what can only be described as a reeking smell of weed and/or cigs for a decent bit most of the semester has gotten on my nerves and I'm sick and tired of it.
I really want to include a picture of the dog that we got this semester because honestly he keeps me spirits high sometimes when they're down, but I don't have one. I might edit this later if I can get a picture of him
Why not just go for a walk by yourself or with your dog if you just want peace and quiet?
More often than not it's during the week and late at night, and I have morning classes that I struggle to wake up for, even with an alarm clock. I'd love to do that, and probably should do it more often, but I've had to start studying for finals so I'm not cramming the night before. I also don't have any place close by to go to. The campus library may be a short drive away, but I'm a bit more productive in my room, given that I decide to focus on that one task at hand.
Also the dog isn't mine. It's my roommates unfortunately. And when he's at class, he sometimes goes over to his girlfriend's place to stay with her dogs until he gets back. Thanks for the suggestion though
I really enjoy watching EnVyUs play. It always seems like such a treat because of how good they are.
That being said, I saw this video a while back and wonder if it's the same Taimou that plays on EnVyUs. If so, that's really cool. Also I believe Harryhook played for Crack Clan way back in the day, but I can't confirm if it's the one that also plays on EnVyUs currently
