comes off as sarcastic maybe thats why youre getting -'d but i think poor performance in video games should not be something to let yourself get depressed about. i always tell myself "im not as good as other people at this game, but at least i havent wasted as many hours as they have".

i think you know deep down what you want. if you have the ability to pursue pro sports, i would do it while youre still young and (im guessing) in shape. at least try to go as far as you can now before youre a middle-aged hasbeen who looks back and says "ahh i could have been great!" (im thinking of uncle rico from napoleon dynamite here l0l)

the idea is there, i get what youre saying. it would need a lot of thought/improvement. if buff banner somehow became the norm you would definitely expect to see much more pushing in the game, that is a given. it also doesnt have to change anything in the current game, which is good. idk about demo having a backpack, pipes and stickies are pretty much necessity. maybe a scout backpack to replace pistol, but i can see it being way too gimmicky and having something to do with movespeed, which would be annoying. i really like the buff banner i just wish you didnt have to lose out on a shotgun or gunboats. maybe a new medigun that works similarly? charges fast, gives AOE damage buff, still provides heals. you lose the uber of course but you wouldnt need it if youre trying to be aggressive and push with constant damage buffs. dunno. brainstorming here.

keep pursuing therapy. you are still young and maybe your parents dont want to accept that you have some sort of mental health issue. you know what is best for you, and you will find a therapist that believes in your case enough to make a strong argument for you. at the very least you will be 18 soon and then you have a bit more freedoms in pursuing better health. also, hound your parents for your social security card daily. you need that shit to do anything in the US basically. get on their backs about it, it will also prove you arent 'lazy' if you keep inquiring about something so important. in all honesty i think you should just save your money for something better like a car or moving out of your parents house instead of dumping it into computer stuff so you can continue to play an outdated game. i was gaming on a piece of shit laptop with an old razer deathadder mouse for a long time, while i do agree having inferior gear hurts gaming performance, i do know that it is somewhat of a mental limitation if you tell yourself "i suck because my mouse/computer sucks". you can definitely still learn and make progress and become a better player even if you are gaming on a low-tier setup.

i just finished reading Slade House by David Mitchell. ive read all of his novels, im a huge fan. wasnt his strongest work but it was good. if youre going to check him out i recommend Ghostwritten or Cloud Atlas first. i strongly suggest either of those books if you like fiction at all, especially sci-fi, mystery, spiritualism, adventure.

also read Langston Hughes's autobiography before that, i really enjoyed it. hes one of the only writers i really give a hoot about as far as their personal lives, and probably the only poet that ive ever bothered to read much of his work. he's a great storyteller.

it is a buzzword but its the closest thing that OW has for esports right now. blizzard pretty much did the same with HotS. the competitive community exists somewhat separately, kind of like tf2 (they play a bit differently on their own terms/are pushing new ideas). OW ranked hasnt even started Season 2 yet, so... its still really new, still being developed. give it some time. as for tf2 having a better future for competitive players, ehhhhhhh that dream is long gone, sorry. thats why many tf2 players have jumped ship to OW, because there is in fact a future there. and as for the youtubers making it in, it was community vote enabled to generate more viewership and a broader audience. im sure a lot of people here think having some "not-actually-pro" players like star, muselk, etc. is lame but as mentioned above, this isnt an event with a prize pool. and maybe some of the viewers who come from people like muselk's channel will get into the "real" competitive side of the game. this whole event was done to help grow the scene, and you have to appreciate blizzard covering every angle, not just catering to the already established pros.

im actually really trying to get into casting and if anybody would like to take an aspiring co-caster under their wing so i can get a bit of experience, i would be super appreciative of that! can be temporary or long term, depending how we mesh.

love it already. very pleasing to the eye, great theme! only thing i might remove is the wooden crates on the high ground, or maybe offset them so they arent directly blocking for the attacker who has elevation. the high ground should already be enough of an advantage, i feel like having a crate to shield you up there is a bit extra. definitely does need a prop up there though. im sure you can think of something better than i :P good work! and thank you for dedicating your time to mapmaking/ultiduo.

i think if you somehow inverted the spire idea, itd be very challenging. maybe like two or three smaller spires offset to the control point, with the cp being a bit lower ground. play with the terrain more, i feel like most ultiduo maps are very basic and boring to look at. id like to see something like a real map for ultiduo, not just flat gray surfaces. make a nice skybox :)
