Tino_Started the new iteration on newbie mixes more then 2 yaears ago now. I am the only one still playing from that original group. Its sad but fine. The part that pisses me off is there are no fucking coaches ever. People bitch that game is dying but dont actually step up to help and make it grow. We have at least 8 brand new teams this season for open but not enough coaches to help them, like what the fuck. Also people in the community that seem to think that people get paid for the shit they do so it somehow gives them the rights to be a fucking baby about stuff thats not exactly right and bitch constantly. Do it your fucking self if you think you can.
TBH almost wish i didnt waste 5000 hours of my life on this game, gotten me nowhere and the community has largely went to shit the past 6-8 months and the game itself is the biggest joke it has ever been in the past 10 years. Also kinda pissed that i never really got the chance to play with consistant or good teams, this is more my fault because of IRL shit then anything else but now I am more or less just stuck playing for half decent open teams or low IM teams because i have nothing to show for myself. coaching teams is pretty ass cancer imo. i helped out one of the newbie mixes, i support that whole idea but me personally, i couldnt really stand it. it takes a special kind of person to be able to step up and coach, i dont think its easy to come by people who can A) stand it and B) do it effectively. also, i dont really think coaches are that important. yeah they get things going but we never had coaches years ago, sure you might ask a higher level player to give you pointers, review a demo with your team, maybe mentor a little, but the idea of coaches kind of paints the picture of babying people into the game, and who is to say that what the coaches are telling you is right? if youre gonna have people coach, youd need them to be reputable, and i think that reputable players in this community are scarce atm, and they probably have better things to do. not trying to knock newbie mixes, as i said i think the idea is really good. but coaching, idk... i think having newbie scrims frequently would be better for people learning the ropes. who cares if there is a coach to sit there in spec and facepalm, or ghost for the team, or give bad advice? players are gonna figure it out on their own eventually, they might even come up with something new.
