firedustKanecoOk, so I'm gonna try and give a bit more constructive feedback.
So, first of all you opened a thread yesterday asking for someone to make you a fragmovie, the responses weren't very positive as I can understand from someone who doesn't really have any reputation in the community but yet you open a thread today, just one day after, with a complete 8 min fragmovie/fragclip or whatever you wanna call it.
I have been editing tf2 videos for a fair amount of time and I wouldn't have been able to record, edit and render a 8 min fragmovie with 20+ frags in 1 day even if I tried really hard. So you probably already had it halfway and just wanted someone to edit it for you since you weren't satisfied with the result which I understand.
Other thing, a quick look at your profile reveals you have played in Brazil highest competitive division (Elite), yet 90% (or I would risk saying all) of your frags are notoriously from american tf2center lobbies, it doesn't really complement the frags at all, in fact, it detracts quite heavily from them, I could go on tf2 center american lobby right now with 120 ping and in 2 or 3 lobbies I would have enough fragmovie material for a 5 min video, but you aren't playing players of a similar skill level not even near that, and more important than that, you are most probably playing games with no communication whatsoever. It really makes the frags not impressive at all, not mentioning you seem to run sniper to mid and in stupid situations 90% of the times while the enemy team is clearly not punishing you as they should, which it would happen in an even skilled level match.
As for the video itself, it seems a collage of frags, no synchs, clips aren't cut properly (ie: showing completely irrelevant moments where nothing special happens), generic music, hence a fraclip not a fragmovie, so it doesn't really merit its own thread in my opinion, should just post it in the frag clip thread.
Thanks for the feedback, my portuguese friend. :)
I made the movie in 1 day, I started after the negative feedback of yesterday's thread.
Yes, indeed, I played on Brazil's highest league, but our scene right now is pretty much dead, all we have left are some pugs that's all stacked and a league that not even the staffs are not treated with respect. So yeah, I play on lobbies as a scapegoat, since there is not much of a competitive scene in Brazil.
Yes, I know, the frags are against mixed people: Good and bad people, and I know the frags aren't that impressive as well, I just wanted to make something that I would be proud of. :)
I know that the edit is "too simple", and no sync at all, it's because I never touched Sony Vegas before, that's why it is unsync and generic transitions.
I fairly sure there is still something active in the Brazilian scene, at least last time I talked to some of my friends there the league was still going strong. And its always better to play against even opponents or in a higher competitive environment, even if it's not that regular/active.
As for the movie, you really shouldn't have aimed for such a long movie if you have no editing experience. My tip, if you really wanna get some edited frags out and don't have anyone who would edit them for you (Im fairly sure everyone would love to have a personal editor but chances are unless you are a top prem/invite player no one's gonna do it for free for you because editing is fuckin time consuming and tiring) then start by editing one off clips, just edit one frag you think is really special and different or one spree which you think it's really cool, don't start with a huge 20+ frags fragmovie, because the end result will be bad (in 99% of the cases unless you're some editing prodigy) and the feedback will be mostly negative.
Also when working on a fragmovie be really picky about the frags and the momentum the frags bring, I noticed that plays a big part in the overall feedback of any fragmovie even if most the frags are great, if you have a few mediocre frags or shitty momentum the movie will suffe hard, I learned this the hard way when I finished my first full fragmovie, which I was only able to understand most of its flaws after I finishes it. And I noticed quite some unnecessary cuts/moments where nothing really happens in your movie
As in everything, experience and practice makes it better. Despite the cliche, it's true that everyone starts bad, and you only get good by keeping at it with consistence.
