How do I remove the sniper red dot?

RJIf any of you remember SonOfDadSC's movie making tutorial, he had a hud from Decap that had no sniper dot. The problem is that it was hosted from MegaUpload before it went down.
If anyone has that hud, I'm sure it would work in today's Lawena/Source Recorder.
Sorry if I'm not of any help here with your current suggestion, though. :X
Im not sure but I looked into that video and I think that was a just a slightly custom hud with these same files to remove the red dot and xhair
This is really a pain, absolutely no reason not to work other than the demo/custom system being retarded

ok, so I literally pasted the materials folder onto every custom folder and it's still not working. Any help with this?
Is it possible this only works with sv_pure off and the demo is forcing sv_pure on or something?

I remember when I bought my first steam game, yep, it was tf2, back in 2009 in one of those free weekends. It was an amazing feeling, I swear I could feel that new game smell through the computer. I was fascinated by the engineer class... Only started comp in 2012 tho, when I was 18, I'm 21 now.

R3VoltI'm pretty sure there is also team specific sniper dots. If I remember correctly, it was sniperdot_red.vtf
Yeah I know, Im using the 3 files already with no success... My folder name was my_custom_stuff and also used on another folder names sniper_smooth but it didn't work, gonna try your folder names to see if it was because of that

yeah, the custom folders behave really strange. I did it now and no success :(

So are demo's from scrims and mixes okay ? I am still very new to all of this so I wanna make sure to submit something that is up to standard so you and I don't get bad rep :P
As stated in the submit page, every game in a competitive setting is accepted, apart from lobbies which aren't, so pugs and mixes are accepted. It's also not required to be a frag or a frag spree, it's named play of the day because of that exactly, it can be a very smart play without frags or something of the likes if you get what I mean
