yeah csgo is a lot newer of a game than tf2, but there are more games considered relatively similar in the counter strike-genre than team fortress has, since team fortress classic was a very different game from tf2

Also you should look up on youtube smokes and flashes for some of the standard maps, you don't have to memorize every smoke and flash right away to be good, but they can definitely help your team ingame
