I started with playing engi in HL for 6 seasons or more. Then I realised I am a fucking subhuman and decided to do something about it. Then Thom, the absolute ledge introduced me to 6s and I played scout. He is banned now for cheating.

liasHad the same problem, this fixed it for me, hope it helps.
Exit Steam.
Click the Start button, then 'All Programs', and 'Accessories'
Right-click on Command Prompt and click "Run as administrator..."
Please note if you are running Windows 8 you will need to press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin)
In the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
bcdedit.exe /deletevalue nx
Restart your computer.
Launch Steam and test the issue again.
This worked for me but I kept crashing the game, couldn't even connect to my own local server.
then I used the stock hud and everything worked out well. might be custom huds?
