You can't expect instant success.
UGC is a good place to start because it's free, if you have people quit or flake out, it's not a big deal because you don't have anything invested into it besides your time. And if you'd be playing tf2 anyways, you haven't lost anything. But you have to stay committed to putting yourself in the proper division and consistently trying to get better.
I think a flaw in the way we've done things over at UGC is that some teams are content to just hang around in steel, think they're good and move on and then they get surprised in ESEA and die.
As long as you're committed to getting better it will happen. My old team started in UGC, won UGC, and moved into open and then eeked its way into IM - as long as you're committed it's ok.
Yes, you will get rolled in open, in fact, you'll get rolled occasionally in every league unless you're a member of Mix^, Bp, etc.
Main would be sweet, but it wont happen because IM teams have an extremely short life expectancy.

Censored for location and nontf2 playing girl.
Play Video juegos with us, we have lots of crinak and also some fobuttis, and may run a combo into queso once snakewater rolls around.
I promise I will tell cool stories.
See if we can get this baby off life support and onto solid foods.
Pharaoh is basically the full package - just don't show him your girlfriend, he will take her from you.
Teh dead :( It was probably the flu epidemic and bad healthcare infrastructure.
Sezco has really stepped his game up recently.
Heyo,
Looking for a team preferably in IM as medic. All requisite fees are paid.
I could play other things at an open level too.
Thrasher is awesome - really talkative, knowledgeable, solid DM - no reason not to give him a look.
Pockets and/or demos are hard to find :( Well, at least one's of Bracket's skill level.
The main reason I think most players are nervous about the european uber recycle is that it's a very risky maneuver to execute.
What you *have* to accomplish is pop your uber, get them to pop (which is not in their own best interest - either by way of getting kills or forcing their uber, and since you can't risk pulling much of your team into this operation it's hard to do). Then you have to get your pocket and medic out, and repush with your team. This can work if it pulls the other team out of position and you can maintain relatively good heals on the people who weren't in the uber (the other 4 guys on the team). The problem is if you fail, you can't push, and if you fail really badly (which could come down to an unlucky trap det or roller spam etc), they can push out on you pretty easily and you've managed to go from pushing their last to defending mid.
It's much safer to just suicide the one player have him come up as something silly and try and do it that way to finegle a health/positional advantage (heavy) or a numerical/uber advantage (spy/sniper)
The bright side, if you get really good at it you just recycle 2-3 times and you've got a solid uber advantage lol.
Shame throne didn't work out, ma3la was putting up some impressive numbers despite all of their roster etc problems :(
Cold turkey is definitely the hardest way to quit anything.
Here are some tips and tricks.
Avoid thinking about it if at all possible.
The fact that you can't play video games well makes sense - because your brain is likely used to doing those things while on nicotine, so a lot of your muscle memory and general utility memory is tied into nicotine. That will pass in time, but it may feel a bit like you're relearning things.
Find other shit to do, cravings should pass after 15 minutes or so.
Don't drink, you are most likely to give in when your inhibitions are lower.
For the first week or two avoid doing things that you would usually smoke during or before if at all possible.
If you do break and smoke, don't give up trying - a lot of people will try to quit, get a few days or weeks in, and then relapse completely and not try again - be sure and get back on track.
Try to avoid caffeine I would assume your shaking is probably more due to that if anything (since people tend to mix the two).
The chemical addiction breaks really quickly - the physical and habitual part of addiction lasts much longer and is just something you have to break by changing your lifestyle up a bit.
This sounds really really dumb, but if you can swing it, take a vacation for 2-3 days. Even if you just stay in the same town but go to somebody else's place. Particularly if that somebody else doesn't smoke and would be a dick to you if you did. Literally the best thing for me when I quit, was I just suggested to my then girlfriend that we roadtrip out to her parent's house (several hours away) and stay the weekend. Not only did I not have any cravings while I was there, it was mostly impossible for me to break down and it was much easier going after I did that.
