I'm still upset that the US supreme court forced Indiana to start doing stupid DST.
I'd be interested if it was fun to play the first one, so gonna' have to withhold judgement till post release.
You can eat even high quality meat EXTREMELY cheaply if you know what you're doing. The same goes for Fruit/vegs too.
The trick for fruit/vedge, learn what is actually in season in your area, and figure out where the farmer's markets are. You can almost always get farm fresh stuff way cheaper than the supermarket so long as its in season. Eggs included if you're down with meat.
The trick to cheaper meat products is a little less intuitive. Unless you live in a major city, chances are the meat that ends up butchered at a butcher shop and the meat from the supermarket are virtually the same - there will be specialty items at the butcher shop, but there's no way they can afford to stock as much meat as they need to turn a profit, so a lot of it is sourced from the same place. So, you're basically not declining much in quality in some cases by just going to the supermarket. Then, once you're there ask a worker for where they put the discounted meats or stuff that's expiring. For example at my local kroger, they almost always put the stuff that expires *that day* nearest to the door into the butcher shop area. For example last week I picked up 3 NY strip steaks over 1 1/2 inches thick for 12$ total because they expired "Sell By Date" *that* day. Not only are they safe to eat if you just leave them in the fridge for a few days, but I just went ahead and cooked all three - then they last even longer and were nice to take to lunch.
It would be pretty difficult to compete with the ~50 grams or more of protein at 4$ a piece on a vegan diet.
If you're on a budget it pays to go to the grocery store more often and buy less stuff in total.
Curator at local history museum.
The hours are bad, the pay is a joke, but the work is pretty sweet.
I'm down with the biscuits and the mashed potatoes but the chicken has always been ... well chicken, I mean I could make that myself I don't taste any herbs and spices let alone 11.
Have you done a virus/malware scan recently?
It could also be a routing issue, but I assume you're playing on different servers when it happens?
John was an interesting character. He regularly ensured that Tf2 was on the front page of Twitch while working there and was pretty instrumental all around in helping some of the earliest tf2 twitch streamers get off of the ground and get everything set up. Unfortunately I haven't kept up with him these last several years. I'm not sure if he's still with twitch in some capacity.
I had a pretty good relationship with John as he had played originally on the SourceOP community servers as "tankman" and most of the people who came from SourceOP knew him in some capacity - as that was the era where talking in game chat and trying super hard to win in pubs was the norm on those servers lol.
It gets easier collaide. When I was younger I'd *constantly* second guess myself and agonize over my actions. Part of that process is figuring out who you actually are and what you believe - and knowing what you want out of a given situation. That comes with time. Part of the reason we fixate on that stuff when you're younger is because you're trying to figure those sorts of things out. I won't say I don't still screw up or say the wrong things, but I get over it a lot faster.
If you really do fuck up and offend somebody, then take ownership of it and apologize if you don't want to end that particular relationship. I have run into cohorts who are socially awkward and *also* irresponsible so they tend to find themselves isolated because they not only offend people, accidentally, but then they don't seem to process why or even that the other party has a right to be offended.
The real downside to being old is encountering the perpetually grumpy folks that inhabit so many adult spaces lol.
Got banned from a GPIT public server we were using to walk around the map on in late 2010 prior to having our own server. The server was empty - but had a large text banner appear that said NO SENTRY ROCKET JUMPING in big red letters. So, after we got done talking about the map as a team and exploring (as many of us had never played the map casually) we started sentry rocket jumping.
I kid you not, whoever owned the server logged in and perma-banned all of us.
Well it's gonna be really hard for it to be worse than the third film so it's got that going for it.
I had gone on numerous dates with this young lady in college. She was amazingly attractive and had the hair of a lioness. It was voluminous and blonde. The only red flag I'd so far received was that she ran cross country so I knew her to have masochistic tendencies. She was also my TA in a class. I worked as a tutor at my university, and so did she, I noted that her table moved next to mine and her hours changed to be the exact same as mine so I knew things were going well. Then came Halloween.
We went as a couple with a shared couple's costume idea. Things went great, she met the majority of my friends and everybody liked her. Then, at 6 AM after a wild night of partying she invites me to her apartment "for breakfast" this is clearly code.
After a small talk about our sexual histories, we start making out, no breakfast. She is on top of me, and after a few minutes, I start to pull her shirt off, thinking that's a reasonable escalation of this encounter. She then leans back, flips her voluminous hair to the side, and says "What do you think about boxing?"
I respond with a twisted look on my face and stammer out "What do you mean like boxing or violence in general?" to which she responded "Look, I'm going to be straight with you, this isn't going any further unless you hit me."
I retort without thinking that I wasn't going to hit her.
At that very moment she sucker punches me in the mouth as hard as she can. Now, if you've never been hit in the face so hard that you lose teeth, this is vaguely what it feels like. First the familiar sweet taste of blood filled my mouth, and then the sensation a sort of grainy sand like texture. I grabbed her by the arms and threw her off of me and spat the remnants of the tooth behind my upper left k-9 and blood all over her white carpet, and literally ran out of the apartment. Thus ended the worst date ever.
Medic doesn't count as a combatant - because if you're healing a scout who loses a 1v1 the probability that you can then out DM the victorious scout without assistance is 50/50 at the absolute best. It's part of the reason medics typically abandon outnumbered players.
