another humorously incorrect suggestion
heal the dude fighting cuz if he dies and you're within healing distance you're probably dead. even if he dies while being healed you've probably bought time for your other scout to get in and help fight and finish the guy off anyways
Say "don't take 1v1s" and run like a shitlord. It would've taken literally seconds to just back up and wait for the incoming other scout to 2v1 with ease but instead scout A decided to bot. By healing scout A you are robbing them of the chance to receive the negative reinforcement of death, and will then likely see the same 1v1 happen again in the future to the detriment of your whole career and team.
well since your scouts are slem and yight, might as well let them 2v6 the team and arrow laz or something
Like a lot of other people said, who you heal shouldn't affect the overall outcome of the fight. Your team should almost always win that fight, if not, you have bigger problems. Tanking the scout fighting gives you a decently higher chance of coming out of the fight with two scouts alive and marginally increases the chance of your scouts getting rolled. Worth the trade imo.

imagining a medic turning around whilst I’m in a 1v1 and healing a scout walking out of spawn makes me cry blood

Depends on who your players are if you like one scout over the other heal the one you like.

Does the medic not count as a person? When did regenerating health and having a higher health pool stop being enough of an advantage to win a fight?

Medic doesn't count as a combatant - because if you're healing a scout who loses a 1v1 the probability that you can then out DM the victorious scout without assistance is 50/50 at the absolute best. It's part of the reason medics typically abandon outnumbered players.

Ya, but saying a 1v1 where you have a medic and they don't is the same as another 1v1 is just stupid, and the hope is that the health advantage should reduce the possibility of your scout losing the fight to a acceptable level.

Buff the fighting scout and then kill the enemy scout yourself, completely ignoring your respawner

Pardon my ugc iron opinion but aren't scout fights over so quickly that the only difference being there makes is he has a chance to take down a scout and a soon to be helpless medic, I remember b4nny saying that a med should stay where it's safe even if the people you're healing die? Maybe I'm misremembering.

in a perfect world where everyone hits all their shots then yeah med definitely wants to stay light years away from enemy scouts no matter what, but even at the highest levels of the game you're gonna run into a lot of situations where having 30 extra hp means you win a fight you would have lost otherwise. and theres every chance that even if someone doesn't miss, they won't do full damage. so if the fight lasts longer than a second, it's pretty likely that the med either being there or not will make the difference. ofc this goes double when you're NOT playing at the highest levels. idk i think unless youre pretty sure your scout is gonna get instantly 2 shot you should stay
