#17 bored and alone in Off Topic

Paint a rock and name him something fun, that way when you invite people over you can talk about Mr. Wiggles, your favorite pet.

You can tell Bryan Cranston directed this episode by the way the dialogue was so trimmed down, man has good taste.

Basically kirby, it's about Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher. He discovers in the first episode that he has cancer and that he has basically no way to actually afford treatment - and particularly given how advanced said cancer is, it's gonna' be expensive. So, he decides to use his chemistry knowledge to cook meth in order to make money. The title "breaking bad" is about how a perfectly normal responsible guy "breaks bad" and ends up doing a lot of unsavory things in order to achieve his goal.

That's the premise.

#101 Powerjack update -> pyro viable in 6v6? in TF2 General Discussion

Pyro as he exists in the NA scene with basically all of his unlocks intact, is a strong utility that can come out in a variety of different situations, and a decent pyro will victimize players who aren't used to dealing with him. I'd go out on a limb and say he especially victimizes teams that run the quickfix and intend to utilize it specifically on their pocket soldier.

Maining a pyro still isn't a viable option because he's essentially outright countered by demoman and scouts.

That's why pyro works so well in Pugs and against lower level teams because the demos tend to be shaky and unprotected, and the scouts tend to be brainless feeders with no situational awareness.

So the pyro is strong in regard to the fact that the team running a pyro requires the opposition to change the way they may want to play. It's not so hard that you have to run your own utils or even change what medi-gun you're using, and thus isn't OP, or especially viable in every situation in the way the cookie cutter classes are.

sometimes you have to kill one of your own players to convert the 5k on the other team.

Or maybe he's counting hosties!?

Goat, it depends primarily on *when* the translation was made, and for what purpose.

Some translations will attempt simply to present the plot with colloquial written English, whereas others may attempt to present a more honest translations with foot notes that attempt to convey certain messages that were lost in translation (a common occurrence with German).

I'm unaware if a definitive translation exists - occasionally with older or classic works a definitive translation is made that is only slightly modified in future printings or versions.

In general students actually prefer to read non-English works from anything prior to the 1900's because written English prior to then (especially once you get into the 18th century and further back) is often difficult to comprehend for the modern reader.

#5 Custom build shutting off in Hardware

I'd check all the connections and make sure everything is plugged in completely as #4 said, I'd also try a different power tree and wall outlet as well - it could always be something with the rooms power or a bad power tree shutting off the flow of power. I'd also check that you don't have wonky power saving options turned on in windows.

Then based on what sort of a build you did you could start looking at subbing in and out components if you have any others laying around.

I'd start with the PSU since anything else would cause a blue screen or a loud beep before your stuff would shut off in general.

#13 America vs. Europe in News

To my understanding what actually happened was this:

Extv asked for donations to send the teams to i46, however, it looked like donations were only going to be enough for 1 team to go rather than 2. So Salamancer himself more or less completely funded the endeavor with his own personal money.

At which point I believe the money that was donated was transferred to Salamancer in an effort to repay him for his incredible generosity, but I doubt he was every actually repaid in full.

Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov

Gogol's "Dead Souls" is another goody.

If you're younger, Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo or the 3 musketeers are pretty banging too.

I mostly read nonfiction, but unless you're into some pretty heavy stuff I'll hold my tongue on those recommendations.

According to Cranston's AMA on reddit that he did a bit ago, it's being, discussed, that there will be a spin off about Saul Goodman and his business - which I think could be a pretty interesting + funny show.

To be fair, there are some pretty bad episodes scattered about, but the overall story and flow is good - especially because of how much the cast interacts with the script. The only real problem I have is, because each episode is generally written by different people, some of the supporting characters are utilized differently from episode to episode and end up with inconsistencies - Skylar and Hank's wife are two particular examples - they are never the same person episode to episode. But I'll admit I love the show - Bryan Cranston is *so* good at what he does.
