#32 First experience of TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I was still in college, it was the summer, went over to a buddy's house and he said "you HAVE to see this game; you played tfc right?"

He then showed me tf2 on 2fort (hey there wasn't much else in those days).

I immediately waited to get a job, and then my first purchase was tf2 :D

I played spy on 2fort, because disguising as the other team and running around with them, and them not noticing, is pretty much the coolest thing ever. My first 30 hours of tf2 were on spy.. Then I never played spy again lol.

weird I was under the impression that 0 just allowed the server to set your interp however it wanted.

#40 What are some really good games out right now? in Other Games

Kerbel Space Program - I should have bought it when it was five dollars when they first announced early release.

That will prolly be my only purchase unless I get more cards to sell and something comes around 3-4 dollars that I like.

#62 S15 Maps? in Map Discussion

While I personally love GPIT, playing it and watching it, it doesn't really fit in with most of the ideas presented in the other 7 maps.

But if it were all up to me, another KOTH map would be looked for or incentivized for s16. That would replace GPIT.

We would also get rid of metalworks and bring back warmfront, especially if warmfront got a few small changes. People seem to like metalworks, but it seems to be symptomatic of the low quality of alternatives. Metalworks presents situations not found anywhere else - mainly because of how wonky the transition is between second and mid, and how hard angled the map is (you can't really ever see anything without fully peeking in) and how often the defender has a tremendous advantage (height, being obscured by random props etc).

#49 HRG Community Chosen Shirts! in TF2 General Discussion

In the interest of not having brown on cyzer's shirt:

Taking out the trash since (insert date here) 2007 would probably be applicable.
or even a simple |__| in reference to his role as "garbage man" for so long.

Votes:

Milkman shade

Shrug life

Tuggernog

But also, why not "The Ol' Tagg bomb" you could even put crazy lettering on the bomb part it'd be edgy n' ciche etc.

#12 Hellbent LFT Roams s15 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hellbent plays like crazy.

If you're an upper level team that needs a shoebox to turn into a guitar, hellbent would be an excellent choice. The basics seem to be there and his potential is basically endless given how much time he devotes to improving.

#5 radium LFT S15 (Medic) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Radium is a fine character who has been unfortunately marooned on some shaky rosters. Would perform well at just about any reasonable level of play given some time to adjust to a new team(Open-IM).

Very dedicated, hopefully you'll get a team that's equally dedicated!

#91 An Abrupt Farewell to You All in Off Topic

Coming from a state, or at least an area, where turn signals especially, and stop signs, are generally disregarded I see stuff like this happen at least 2-3 times a year.

In general, litigation is probably on the table, especially in the case that Mark is correct and witnesses can corroborate that Sarah didn't do anything wrong. All you have to do in civil court, generally, is show with a reasonable amount of evidence that somebody wronged and/or damaged you. Then the cash reward is related to the degree to which you were wronged, generally. The police report may be enough - I assume ghosts family or insurance will be in possession of this document already, that alone may be enough so long as the reporting officer(s) seem convinced that the other driver was negligent or somehow responsible (even in a no-fault state with no-fault insurance I'd presume).

Being sent to the ICU is probably good enough to show that you were wronged, so long as there are witnesses that say you did nothing wrong, or the police report doesn't contain language like "ran a stop sign" who will file an affidavit or show up in court - generally. The police report should also contain the names and contact information for witness which could be helpful in the event that the police report is too vague to provide reasonable evidence of fault on the part of the other driver.

#16 Quick Fix? in TF2 General Discussion

Maybe I'm just conservative at heart with my items, but I doubt it'll ever see widespread use. Mainly because it sets you down this drive to counter things - kritz hard counters qf absolutely, so you just see this paper rock scissors game of who has what kind of medigun.

I imagine it *might* find its way to teams that manage it well, assuming it's not banned, but in general it's not going to replace uber or kritz, simply because uber actually makes you invincible and kritz will destroy even teams with uber sometimes. I also doubt that the medic can ever truly gain control over where he is going - especially since the game tends to revolve around chokes, not to mention that you generally don't want to move your medic in that deep. Yes, you could use it to escape bad things, but since the med still takes fall damage normally, you're doomed to suffer minor annoyances in that capacity as well.

Assuming it's not banned, it'll be seen more than it was, but I doubt it will ever see widespread use, simply because kritz counters it absolutely, as does say, a sticky trap or any 2 classes that hit directs (although this used to be true of any class that was being healed - other than heavy, this is now only really true for the medic himself/herself).
