Could be flooding maybe? I know some places in Indiana still have flood related stuff out because we have a wonderful system for water management (IE things that got built circa 1930 that nobody really takes notice of anymore or maintains in any way).

Mozilla is a nonprofit tornados - it actually gets its funding from google comically enough through search royalties and a deal they made with google to make google the default search in the browser (but you can change that).
I use firefox because google mines data like crazy and I doubt chrome is any different.
One time when I was making fun of people who get upset about spoilers, I said "please guys don't ruin the 1999 world series for me I haven't seen it yet!"
somebody immediately posted the results of said world series game by game it took less than 10 seconds. It was amazing.
It is very dark here and has cooled a lot, but not much else - we're supposed to get pretty epic wind so hopefully I don't get crushed by trees (thanks beetles for killing several of my trees ;()
- NE Indiana, according to the satillites everything is going to go to hell on the Mi-In border, thankfully I'm an hour away from that.
Also if my garden has a tree fall on it again I will be most displeased. Rip garden 2012
This is a theory of mine, but I could be wrong of course, no real data to back it up.
After the game went f2p the comp scene exploded, yes, HL did start to launch around this time, so in general I could be targeting the wrong thing, but in general using purely anecdotal evidence, I would say that the reason people are leaving tf2 is the infuriating nature of pub play.
Things like incessant auto-balance that makes it impossible to play with your friends, ridiculous unlocks and the people who insist on using only them, and the quick play feature that gutted some established pub communities (whose regulars moved onto new games rather than find a new home) were a tremendous boon to the comp scene, and killer for those who didn't join it. As players found pubbing to be less and less stimulating/fullfilling they moved onto HL where they could get organized games that still played many of their favorite maps - some of those folks then moved to 6v6.
As far as monitization options - tickets/special items are a pretty clear way to go there. One thing I've always wanted to see in game were uniforms for the 4 main classes, which are then integrated into the game, showcased in some major match, and then made available for purchase. It's advertising for both interests. Or even just a special type of hat.
I agree with killing for the most part, I like it as it is. We can do more on our own and have been for some time and are seeing steady growth across all tf2 leagues - and even MORE leagues just in general.
Ultimately, I think it's a silly endeavor to attempt to equalize the utility classes with the mainline generalist classes. A 6s lobby system MAY have a place - DOTA 2 has certain rules that are rarely obeyed in pubs, just because the Lobby system uses one system doesn't mean the whole community has to shift over and stick to it.
HL lobby system + 6v6/HL exposure is what we should be shooting for. It requires the least amount of work on everybody's part along with exposure of events to the whole community. It's the easiest path for everybody to take as far as I can see.
Many highlander players eventually become 6v6 players - there is nothing wrong with a comp community having two different formats, look at quake and its success with CTF and dueling - it's the same basic concept.
Why are we looking to Robin Walker and in exchange sacrificing our entire format that we play - why have we *not* already made these changes - in a game that's been out since 2007 - because people haven't wanted to play them.
I'm not against experimentation, but I think it's pretty ridiculous that so many of us devote so much time to this and are willing to just toss the whole format in the hopes that 1 guy at valve will put in a word to establish a lobby system for players we don't even know.
tl;dr HL suites the lobby system better than 6s ever could, there's nothing wrong with that, HL players become 6s players in many cases, and we should exhort them to advertise ALL tf2 comp events and coming up with reasons why they should do this instead of discussing theoretical changes to the 6v6 format that frankly don't sound all that appealing to me personally.
If you want to mess with the sixes metagame - the easiest way to do that is to develop new *maps* with interesting new quirks and features - not release items that make full time sniper more viable for example.
Yes, we've more or less agreed upon 8 maps that are solid - but there would be a lot more change and innovation if we had a map of cp_process's caliber being released every few weeks/months. If we were in a place where cp_badlands was in serious danger of being retired because of the quality of maps available to us - like Star Craft (where old mainstays come and go) - were so high, we'd be a much healthier scene in general.
But making new maps is very hard :(
My first job was working for a timber company in the summer, I was only 14 (Legal in Indiana because it's considered agricultural work - and I wanted video games) - it was handy that they'd come pick me up for work in the mornings. I did that for the whole summer, learned how to cut down trees, pull trees around, drive a front end loader, and also why eating at truck stops for breakfast is a terrible idea in general.
After that when I turned 15 I got a job at Mcdonald's but quit after 3 weeks because it was intolerable, then I spent the rest of HS working at a truck repair company - despite my not knowing anything about trucks or the repairing of them (I mostly just cleaned stuff up and slowly learned basic tasks - brakes, tires, oil changes, etc). Was a life experience. That was back when minimum wage was only 5.15 - I thought I was making a killing at 6.00$/hr lol.
Played with her in a few mixes a while ago. She'll learn, also if you know any french it'd prolly be a bit helpful to her - a good chance to test out those High school/uni skills.
Dedicated and nice, follows directions well.
If you've not had anybody add you yet feel free to toss one my way, I'm not super available, but I may be able to help on the weekends.
What would be really handy would be if you could click on the "support tf.tv" add banner and it would take you to a guide on how to unblock sites you want to support. I know oodles of people have literally no idea how to actually use the program lol.
If your cards and stuff look fine, and the MOBO doesn't have any strange coloration, try plugging in a different CPU and seeing if it'll boot - the thing with broken PSU's though is that they'll sometimes take other components with them, so be careful :/
I really liked t00l when we tried him out in like... s11? I can't really remember, really nice guy. Can't comment on his play since I haven't really seen him since like forever ago lol.
