Due to a recommendation from a friend I think I'm going to go with Sennheiser 598 Cs and a modmic 5. I was looking at the open back 598 but I have roommates and don't really want them hearing my games even if they do sound better for me

I was looking at a pair of headphones and a seperate mic, but if the hyperX and the G4me Zero that were recommended are actually good I migth get one of those

Edit: I wear glasses so I think that should be taken into consideration seeing as Tob had issues with certain headsets with his glasses

So I'm looking into getting an actual headset/headphones and a seperate mic instead of using my earbuds because they started echoing and I have no idea why.

Budget is around $100-$175 for both headset and mic although I can go a little more if it's worth it. Any suggestions? I have never really used headsets for gaming or general purpose, so I don't want to screw myself over with a bad deal

Check your CPU temps. I used to get like 20 fps and it was because my CPU can stopped working so it was downclocking its self so it didnt overheat. Replaced the can and it went back to normal

3, even though I picked up 4 and Primal during the sale I haven't played them just yet

It's weird, I find it easier to play with 180+ ping rather than 120 ping. I used to mge and dm in Australian servers and EU servers from SoCal and had 180ish to EU and 250ish to AU and the 120 ping I got to some NA servers was unplayable for me, not the 180 or 250

Check out insurgency. Its a realistic shooter based on the source engine. Ive played about an hour or so of it and enjoying it so far

The problem I had would my fps would drop from 300ish to 20 and stay there for 5 seconds at a time. That only happened when I was streaming. Yeah I know the BSOD and RAM failing wasn't related to streaming but I've always had issues with it.

Greatly appreciated and I'll see what's been announced or will most likely be announced

Edit: I think I would be better off with a Quad Core with the higher base clock speed's rather than more cores.
