It's not ridiculous at all. You'd have a much better chance defending yourself with a firearm against untrained individuals than you would in a fist fight. I've been to the range around some hoodlums and it was scary being around them simply because of the way that the handled the firearms. They really had no idea what they were doing. We ended up leaving once we saw how they were acting/shooting. Most criminals don't take the time to go to the gun range and train. Also, most criminals aren't going to get into a gun fight with you when they have the option to run. I'm not saying that you win simply because you have a gun. What I'm saying is, you definitely increase your chances.

Just think that this could have been stopped by some good samaritan had they had a concealed firearm when this shit was going down. If someone wants to kill people and they are motivated enough, it doesn't matter if we ban guns or not. That's not the only point defending gun ownership its just the most glaring fact because its a counter point. Everyone attacking gun ownership thinks 'less guns = less crime'. You have to think about all of the other reactions that banning them would do. Every other country that has banned guns has seen a drop in gun crime but a rise in other violent crimes.

I've just started to play a little bit of CSGO and CSGO Lounge keeps coming up. My question is, would it be possible to get a $5 skin and bet that on every "sure thing" match that you see to make money back? I know the return would typically only be 10%~20%. At 50 cents a pop it only takes 10 matches to get another $5 worth of skins and then you can just sell them on the market place. Is that something that would be possible or am I missing something?
