You're competing with those two larger leagues regardless of your default days. Very few (if any?) teams play all 7 days of the week. Moving TFCL to compete with UGC default days, at least, gives teams a choice between two free leagues, one of which has a prizepool. As it is, teams aren't just choosing to give up playing ESEA or UGC when they sign up for TFCL, they're also choosing to give up their Friday and Saturday evenings.

Our team really wanted to play TFCL this season, especially with ESEA changing the map selection and grinding one map every week not being as important, but the default days are incredibly inconvenient. Our schedule (and I think the schedule of most teams, though I don't have any data) is literally Sunday-Thursday, taking Friday and Saturday off. I know the match days are open to negotiation, but the risk of having a team try to force a fri/sat match is just too high to feel comfortable signing up over UGC and/or ESEA.
TheMackey5Sideshow.
There was just almost something like a guarantee something stupid or hilarious will happen
i'm so glad that as an na player i never had to pug with him
but all the same he was a joy to watch
Just go the ESEA route and ban ringers, ez
Sorry for the necro, but this is the relevant thread for what I want.
I've got a loadout switch bind, but I'd like to not have to guess at the speed of the itemservers when I hit the bind. It'd be much better if I could just instantly switch from whatever I'm on, to pyro, and then back to my class. I tried what #3 suggested but all it does is swap me to pyro, and then I have to hit my bind a 2nd time to switch back. That winds up being slower than just using the loadout bind. I don't really understand why it doesn't work (because, to my limited knowledge, it should), and I don't really know what else to try.
since theyre not in owl they should come play some tf2..........
8 more teams? That's ridiculous. I wish I was around tomorrow, or I'd try to put together another NA mix team. Last month we wound up with like 20 teams, c'mon Euros!
twiikuuDemos will be uploaded on demo.tf from now on, Invite archives from March and April will be stored
so hey if demos.tf is cool are there any plans to get some logs.tf action?
Last month, I fielded teams for both the NA and the EU cups. Literally every time we allowed the other team to host (and EU teams in particular seemed unwilling to let us host, even when I offered to use French servers), the server would be running the wrong config and whitelist. This might be the result of people being unwilling to try new things, but I'm more inclined to believe it's just because they weren't aware of the new whitelist, or where to get it. It's not easily visible on whitelist.tf, there are no links on the Toornament page or in the essentials article, and I wound up having to do some digging on the forums here in order to find it.
I'm not really interested in nagging the other team to switch servers or install the config every round, especially after 5 hours of struggling to keep my team together for the last round of games. The ideal solution would be to for essentials to provide servers, but in lieu of that, the config needs to be much more visible.
Did the winning teams from previous monthlies ever get paid? There were a few posts about this in the last monthlies thread.
uberchainthey turned it down though and didn't see the value in doing it.
i swear to god esea's plan for tf2 is to just let tri do whatever he can to keep the league functional. if there's ever a bug which breaks the client's ability to run TF2 they'd probably just let it die
antecedent: shoots guys dead
also good in mumble. always thinking about what might have gone wrong with the last fight, and isnt an asshole about bringing it up
