bone's a pretty chill dude.
there are times when he doesn't comm much, but his dm and gamesense could definitely compete at a mid-high open level.

#28 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion

How did you feel about your season? What were the good and bad points?
I honestly can say that I enjoyed it. It helped me gain a lot of experience about what Open's like and the overall skill level of most teams. I got to hang out with a lot of cool people, as well as get to know a lot more of the comp TF2 playerbase throughout the season. However, the constant roster changes (p much 5 pocket changes) didn't help us in gaining cohesion and our inability to perform during high-stakes matches really got me frustrated. I don't know if I just have high expectations, but Squid Squad could've done much better. I did have a lot more fun though, and that's what counts.

What specific expectations did you have, and which ones got fulfilled? Which ones didn't?
I wanted my team to make playoffs. If not for me, then at least for mana (rip lucky #7). I also wanted to improve a lot, but the roster changes throughout the season kind of hindered that as well. Mostly, I just wanted to have a lot of fun, and I did that with people that I really enjoyed playing with.

How do you feel about the logistics of playing scrims and matches?
I think the ESEA client isn't problematic at all (for me anyway), and the new pull-up-match-page thing to join a match was a little bit inconvenient, but not a big deal at all. IRC was pretty consistent in getting us scrims except on things like weekends, but other than that it was fine.

What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?
Around 50 teams in Open when the season started. I think that the overall low-open population was a lot higher this season, but that should lead to a very competitive S19. Other than that, the skill distribution was relatively same as previous seasons.

Will you be playing in S19? If not, what is stopping you from playing again?
I'm currently trying to decide whether I want to play or not. I might be traveling overseas to Asia for a year (AsiaFortress?), so I probably won't be able to play after the end of the summer. Because of school stuff, I'll probably play if someone asks me, but I won't go looking.

How do you feel about how ESEA compares to other leagues?
It's obviously more competitive than UGC, and now that CEVO's dead (wasn't good anyway), ESEA is really just the best option for TF2.

Would you recommend people to play ESEA? If so, under what conditions?
Yeah, of course! I think that if you have around $30 in your wallet, you're all set. Open is really for all players to get into.

What's your next goal?
If I'm playing next season, my next goal would be to make playoffs with a bunch of friends.

#1 custom HUDs crash comp? in Q/A Help

So, I stopped playing TF2 for around a week. When I relaunch the game with my custom stuff (consisting of P-REC and BroeselHUD Blue), my computer proceeds to freeze up and become completely unresponsive.
It tried removing P-REC from my custom folder and leaving my custom HUD initially, as that's what usually causes problems. Froze up again.
However, when I removed my custom HUD, the game launched fine. I tried installing a different HUD after I took out my first HUD, and my computer crashed again.
Did the new update break something about custom HUDs? I think it also might be my graphics and DirectX drivers, so I'm going to try reinstalling those as well.
Thanks for any help!

#27 ESEA-O: Week 8 Predictions and Interesting Data in News
AvastMoylol, we just choked hard.
but ggs to C9. Deserved it. I guess.

After you lost against us you said you choked too. If you guys choke that consistently then maybe its not choking and just losing.

Sorry, I'm just a little frustrated with my performance during the match. I think we're just a very momentum based team, and we had already lost before the half was over.
ggs, sorry to C9 for the shittalk and stuff. Good luck to you guys in playoffs!

#46 ESEA Open Playoff Bubble Picture in News
Bluesyo for real though, cloud 9's scouts are really good and this team isn't getting nearly the recognition they deserve.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure I could cut my way to the top of open as well.
