I started playing in late '11 and I've never noticed a dedicated ammomod server. All I've experienced of it is MGE's small offering and naturally it seems pretty lackluster compared to what surrounds it in that environment. So I've never gotten the chance to properly try it, and prior to this thread I would have assumed it was more or less just what you get in MGE and probably not bothered.

Saltysally150 gb free for uploads if that isn't enough you cray cray.
he's a video editor, man
yes id tech sens = source sens. id tech became goldsrc became source.
I play QL and duel with friends pretty often. They're definitely worth getting into simply because it's crazy fun and you don't get that experience anywhere else. If you wanna play QL, CPM or wsw just let me know and I'll play with you.
Also there's xonotic but I don't see any reason to play it when the others exist.
BLoodSireso incredible, but I believe this and fov_desired will never be unrestricted because people would cry "but spies..." all the way to the submit complaint button
probably because it's a legitimate issue and ruining other people's preferred game styles to improve ours would be quite selfish.
I like how whenever these threads get posted, OP gets -fragged and people moan about this being the same thread every time and then everyone proceeds to post their sensitivity like none of that has happened 100 times before.
if you DL KBNhud there's a subfolder containing just the code for the circle.
Ah, I see. Clever. But that shouldn't work unless the server wasn't properly configured to block "wait", so application of the config would be too rare to justify writing it. I'm not sure how you could've seen that in action. Perhaps an AHK script?
Kakioh really? i thought ppl have binds for taking ammo/health packs already..
wait, what? now you've got me curious.
there're a bunch of cvars you can check. Check that your V key is bound to "+voicerecord" and you have "voice_enable 1" set. Those shouldn't produce your symptoms but that's all I know of for in-game stuff so, you know, give it a shot.
For out of game help we'd have to know your OS.
I just installed this mod and I'm really impressed. Seems to be basically TFC with better graphics and some balance revisions. I'm interested in how this might develop competitively, so I'm on board.
Also regardless of how it's recieved competitively, it has a training mode that teaches all sorts of old movement techniques, so if you want to get someone into an old FPS, you might tell them to download FF and try out the training mode. It's really got just about everything.
Nin2246And the birth of a new Unreal Tournament shall be made that will help the 1v1 eSports
I really don't think a new UT with shinier graphics is going to do anything but get the eyes of the general public for a couple weeks, maybe months, before falling away like the rest. We can't make any 1v1 FPS taken seriously as an e-sport of it gets replaced by some completely new game with a new skill set every couple of years either.
The rapid advance of technology makes this a tough situation, but the situation can't simply be ignored. We've had plenty of amazing FPS in the past that really deserved a lot of public attention that all got left behind because shinier graphics were already arriving.

yeah I'm pretty on the level with this guy. But for my assertion, I'd broaden the scope from "being away from other dudes" to "being away from any humans, virtual or real". I don't mean everyone has to be dead, but, I'd like it if some games did at least something along the lines of Half-Life 1, some dudes are here and there but they don't stick around or stay alive for more than a few rooms. like Metroid Prime,System Shock 2 or Shadow of the Colossus. that tier of loneliness is just the best and I wish more games had it.
you know, a big thing I miss from older FPS games is being alone. Modern games always give you a partner or squad or something. This is kind of a general statement I guess, but now's as good a time as any to mention it. I miss games letting me be alone. (it's not like pushing a button to have someone else shoot something for you was ever a riveting gameplay feature in the first place). Just me, maybe? I never really hear others mention this.
yep, here's a mirror http://playstationgang.com/gdc-2013-the-core-of-metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-live-stream/
missed the climax of the demo though ;-;
