#68 Crossbow is still dumb in TF2 General Discussion
ComangliaYou probably don't get to experience the dumbest parts of the crossbow that often since you're playing in Invite for the most part you're never going to find a demo/soldier to close to choke with barely anything or nothing loaded at all, but in open and occasionally IM that shit happens all the fucking time.

in absolutely no world should any video game be balanced around the 2nd and 3rd from the top tier of gameplay. like it actually kinda blows my mind that you said the dumbest part of the crossbow doesn't happen that often in invite and continued to think it was a valid argument.

like valve can be stupid and balance based on pubs or be smart and balance based on invite but jesus why would they even care what is happening in open and IM

imo crossbow makes the medic class more dynamic in a similar fashion to ubers. Flashing a significant player at a good time can turn the tide of a team fight. Arrows do this to a lesser extent. People just don't really like when combat classes aren't the reason a player lives or dies for some reason.

Honestly the skill ceiling for arrowing during fights isn't even challenged that heavily, and if it was people would probably just hate arrows more. I distinctly remember scrimming against Nursey like 3 seasons ago and over the course of the night there were 3 or 4 fights we lost exclusively because Nursey shot and hit like 8 arrows in a row on people who were actively engaged in fights. People might get all upset about that, but if our med had ALSO hit 8 arrows the fights may have gone differently.

I personally feel like tf2 really isn't in a position to make the class LESS appealing based on the current number of entry level medics, so the discussion of banning the weapon shouldn't be centered around mechanics but appeal of the class. But that being said, I really feel like arrows could be a lot more powerful if they were used aggressively (aggressively meaning frequently) in some specific of situations.

e: also yeah if needle guns were better that'd be interesting

#21 Thalash @ i63 grandfinal in LAN Discussion
CorunsonHonestly the biggest question is how the fuck did you manage to get 25000+ fps

tf2 sees that the game is slowed down. It's considering a "second" to be the time it takes for the slowed down demo to play an entire second.

that being said thalash aim locked right next to a medic's head through a wall, confirmed 4 on gear.

funhaver19984Head from Aim's stream this morning

i hate funhaver1998 cause 4Head was actually super nice and genuinely both knew he wasn't good, and wanted to get better. I can't hate someone for wanting to get good at tf2. Plus the dude was genuinely charismatic

HobinEvery roster we work with our plan is to have stability and be long lasting, sadly that is not the case and hasn't been since we entered TF2 we have tried hard to keep stable rosters but players just don't get along so of course every roster we have we hope no change happens, but we cant predict what players will do/want to do after a bad game ect.

gee can't imagine y
