mustardoverlordI hadnt even seen that trip clip when I made the thread, I was talkin about the overall propaganda match which he had just streamed (and where 95% of the abuse was at daf not trip anyways)
For those wondering:
- Daf follows sandblast, sandblast doesn't look at cave, enemy team ubers through cave and kills Daf, sandblast says Daf needs to not be in a place where he can get caught out
- Daf gets bombed on last at the shutter, gets juggled.... 2 minutes later sandblast is telling him to just run into spawn
- Just the most patronizing rollout of all time
- Combo Scout Class hits bombing soldier for 12 and says his med was just standing still in a corner
- BEST FOR LAST: If you can't hear what I said it was "sandblast your comm sucked dick hole"

but that type of conversation happens 6-7 times a scrim. If you're not doing the exact thing sandblast thinks you should be doing he tells you you're wrong and playing tf2 the wrong way, and if you tell him why you didn't do what he was thinking in his head you should do, he tells you you're retarded.
Less about 'shit talk' and more about just a general disregard for how to interact w/ human beings like an adult, or function within a team.

ComangliaI implore everyone reading this thread to really consider that this is a game Published by EA.
This is basically a guarantee that this game is going to be a micro-transaction heavy game where alot of the content is locked by additional paywalls and some of that content WILL give a team an advantage over a team that hasn't paid for it or spend the near eternity to grind for it.
Battlefront 1 &2
It used to take 40 hours of gameplay to unlock Darth Vader OR Luke Skywalker in Battlefront 2.

But EA also sold them, along with a slurry of other things that gave a major upper hand to people who paid early on and whenever new content dropped.
Battlefield
Battlefield 1, you want all the possible weapons and attachments to have the best loadout possible? Get short cut kits for only $10 for each infantry class or $30 for all 3 (A $10 SAVINGS!!!) and a $15 vehicle kit short cut OR get all of them for $40 (A $25 SAVINGS!!!) . Also 3 large content updates that cost $15 each some of which contain a really powerful new class and or vehicle that will totally give the other team the upper hand IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Oh and don't forget to get the premium pass so you have preference for getting into servers!
BF1 at this point costs about $160 just to have all the "base" content.
BFV is shaping up to be the same way.
Don't get me started about FIFA ultimate teams, the fact there's a competitive league for this and is setup like this blows my fucking mind.
Apex Legends is already proving it's going to follow the EA trend of micro-transactions with hero's that cost ~$7.50 each. Otherwise you're going to have to grind to get it, and better hope the new hero isn't OP at launch if you're not going to pay. This is going to end up worse than Quake Champions on acquiring the new characters...
The only thing that is theoretically behind a paywall is new heros. In a game w/ this high of ttk and the gun play the way it is, I don't think any hero could be crazy OP.
- It's a free game
- The hero's that aren't unlocked yet aren't good
- Everything that isn't a hero is a cosmetic
I know it's EA but so far this isn't anything like the games you mentioned.

andrew-what are the reasons in favor of a match by match pick/ban system?
at a higher level it in theory allows teams to be a bit more dynamic and allow them to play to their strengths resulting in a more competitive top level of the game
kinda dumb to have it in invite and not all the other divisions though

You ban what you are worst at and pick what you are best at regardless of whether or not you personally like or dislike something. Under the current system there is no logical reason to even try to get better at maps you are not good at when you can just ban them.
Then get better at the maps you do wanna play so then your least favorite maps are your worst maps and you ban them !
