If they are balancing around pubs, then they'll definitely have to nerf Demoman. Whenever you see decent players trying to win on a pub, they pick up multiple demos, with a light smattering of medics, soldiers and snipers.

As long as theyre balancing broken weapons, they should probably take a look at the sticky launcher.
Playing comp is fun obviously. Thats why so many people play it. But from the perspective of a spectator who only pubs, its really easy to understand why they would find it boring.

Were either of those kills intentional? No.You decide!
Why is that in this game?Nobody knows. You decide!
Soldiers and demos can get lucky kills too.
TechnobladeI'm sorry, but that was just way too redundant for me to take.
Four times wasnt enough.
I dont think I understand this post. Valve/Robin wants to make the game more fun to watch, and more dynamic and interesting. They want to change the game based off of what makes competitive dota fun to watch, what makes HL interesting and what robin (and honestly, pretty much everyone who doesnt play competitive tf2) sees as his personal reasons for why 6s isnt interesting from a spectators point of view.
Lots of people in the community, even high level 6s players, have expressed a feeling that 6v6 is stale, or could be improved with a large level of variety. Robin seems like he is open to different options, and meeting the community halfway.
So yeah, this post seems a little overdramatic. Valve isnt trying to destroy tf2 for personal gain, its trying to make it better. 6v6 imo HAS been a success simply because it is a fun game-mode to play. But so is HL, and why shouldnt Valve's vision be?
Valve isnt trying to destroy competitive tf2. They are doing what we should already done on our own.
.05 seconds is nothing. If the pyro was to spam airblast as a soldier spammed his clip, the difference would only be .1 seconds. And seeing as how pyro doesnt just have to aim the rocket like the soldier did, but he needs to react fast enough to actually reflect the rocket as well, it doesnt seem unfair at all.
Minicrit reflects MIGHT be work rethinking, because a good close range reflect tends to end fights too fast, but the reflecting mechanic as a whole doesnt need a straight nerf.
A lot of these changes are live in tightrope. Join the steam group to get updated about playtesting times.

We're working on setting up pugs or lobbies with our servers, but the plugin fucks with tournament mode. We're figuring it out.
causeLooks balanced to me.
Now what does that article have to do with anything?
1. Okay, you have no idea what the other balancing factors are.
2. It was just a joke. A lot of people brought up the fact that chess hasnt changed in hundreds of years.
wareyaI get mad because I know that the pyro is literally giving up teamfight and self defense power in order to have yet another way to fuck over individual players in their face, except this time it's both ranged and undodgeable giving them the same kind of "fuck you 1v1" advantage as the soda popper and liberty launcher and loch 'n load etc all do.
Brought this up to a friend, and he made the point that its not just that players are better in 1v1s, its that these weapons resolve fights faster. We're used to a certain cadence in DM, and its part of the reason people play tf2 over games like CoD or CS where players die within a second of being seen.
Dying in one airblast and shot shuts you down before you feel like the fight should have finished. That is what is frustrating, imo.

GG like 50% of the posts in here.
Hawken was too slow. I thought it was cool that they were going for a mix between western "tank-like" mechs and gundams, but fuck that. The nerds were upset that the mechs didnt feel enough like mechs, and the fps players realized that all they wanted to fly jehuty and anubis.
It swings both ways. If my engie had shit dm, I'd ban the gunslinger.
Why would you ban weapons that arent skill-indexed? Why would you waste a ban on something like that?
I would just ban the stuff my team isnt good at dealing with. Barring that, Id ban stuff that the other team "needs", but my team doesnt necessarily have to have. Id only ban the vitasaw if i thought my medic would really benefit from the other medic melees. If he doesnt, why bother?
Why was the sleeper banned again?
