My FK just arrived today and here are my thoughts after playing around with it for a few hours:
The new coating is very good and much better than the EC1, if you have sweaty hands it will almost feel like it's stuck to them. This mouse is a great deal smaller/lighter than the EC1 which means it's more sensitive to small movement and good if you use a mid/high sensitivity. You can fingertip this mouse without a whole lot of trouble but it is definitely suited towards claw users. The mouse switches are a tad bit stiffer in the back where you're likely to be holding it if you using a fingertip grip. Clawing felt very comfortable but it's not my style. I really like the shape, it makes picking up and maneuvering the mouse very easy.
Scroll wheel is okay, feel's a little bit tiny to me but I'm used to the massive and heavy EC1 wheel. This mouse is a little bit on the small/thin end and I would prefer it if it was a little bit bigger but not a huge deal breaker.
Overall I find that it suits my needs much better than the EC1 did so I'm going to be using the FK from now on.
Also it should be noted that this mouse has 4 side mouse buttons, 2 on each side. They feel a little heavy and it's hard to click the ones on the opposite side of your dominant hand. This is good if you need to bind things that aren't as important to your opposite side.
Darksouls 2 & Wildstar for me
Hey I'm in the market for a new mouse, right now I'm using the EC1 EVO and while I like it a lot I'm not 100% comfortable with it. The FK has a \ / grip, where the EC1 has a / \ gripping style. I have medium-largish hands and use a fingertip grip so I feel like the \ / style would be more comfortable for me.
Does anyone use this mouse? What are your thoughts on it, would it be good for fingertip grippers?
From some quake thread:
That's a tough question. Getting 120Hz from VGA can prove to be difficult with 120Hz TFTs unless ran on lower than native resolution, so I wouldn't bet my money on doing that. You should probably do a google search about it, and maybe even send email to TFT manufacturers asking about it.
As for the HDMI and 120Hz, I don't think that's going to happen. You are most likely able to get 3d from movies and such but not real 120Hz support for 2d-modes.
You are in a really bad position here, your laptop should have either DisplayPort connector or then that DVI dual-link connector, and there would probably be no problems.
So if you're trying to run 144hz with a VGA-to-DVI adapter it might not work.
What Marxist said, think of every new round as a fresh start to do well.
It seems like your problem is mostly experience thing, you don't know how to react to some situations and are getting overwhelmed (too much meta-gaming?). You shouldn't micromanage your teammates and instead trust them to know what they're doing but that's probably hard at silver level. As you're exposed to more situations and you develop a better understanding of how the game works you shouldn't be tunnel visioning anymore. Getting a mentor to explain the how/whys will help you grow as a player.
Also this might help you (Praise the Quake Bible)
Presence. (Remaining in the moment to maximize mental efficiency)
Presence is the state of mind (or no-mind) that has no past or future. Without
past and future, you are not wasting your brain cells/neurons on things that do
not currently exist and therefore hold no bearing on you as a player. You are
focused entirely on what is happening, and since what is happening is all there is,
it is therefore all that matters. This is an easy way "cut down" or lean up your
thoughts and become all killer, no filler. In my experience, you are may only
compete at your peak performance when you are committed fully to the present
moment. The ideal way to look at this is; there is no seperation between you and
what is. This "oneness" is commonly referred to by sports analysts as, "the zone."
Disciplined presence means we should be playing the entire game in the moment
as it emerges unto itself.
IpzTipz returns
Looking forward to the vids :)
Nice guy, lots of potential and definitely high open material. Good DM and really good sniper :)
Just a word of advice:
You aren't anywhere near skilled enough to be playing on a high open team. Come back when you've matured and please stop making an ass of yourself in this thread and IRC. Nobody wants to deal with someone who constantly talks trash and acts like a dick.

Looks good thanks =)
#101 - you can try increasing the "wide/tall" values but you might have to mess around with the x/y pos to get it centered. The xhair included in the download is 256x256 so that should be plenty big before it starts to get pixelated.
Pugged with him a bit, solid player and would make a good addition to a low/mid team
very fun game, for $15 it gives you more than most $60 games do these days
right click on creeps for 20 minutes
buy items
whole team sits in bush/mid until enemy comes
kill enemy
kill baron
