Old KNHUD is probably the best example of how to do it right. Minimal, easily visible, nothing flashy.

Whoever needs lime green ammo and hot pink reserve ammo has bigger issues than their HUD.

I played on the PS3, thought everything was omg so sick. Medic seemed easier than aiming with the other shit (analog stick + Scout = kill me), and I spent the next hour on 2Fort healing a Heavy and walking back and forth with the intelligence.

The people who like to and want to edit kind of do that already. I think asking for weekly productions is a bit much, too. Montages eat up a lot of time, between the clip finding and rendering, editing, synching, re-rendering...you get the picture.

Do you have a source for that? Didn't see any "staff" information on the web page. I doubt Valve would tip the ratio greatly toward artsy fartsy folks if their goal is to create an experiment where it appears the only variable is the age (and, well, the education, but that's a given).

The dropdown boxes will allow you to select what kind of license you're looking for (I like free for commercial use). When searching for music that is free for commercial use, look at the little gray tabs beside each track. Tabs that say only, "by" mean that you are allowed to use those tracks freely for commercial use as long as you provide credit to the artist. Really great if you want to monetize stuff.
