I appreciate that you were willing to sit on a phone for god knows how long, Lange. Thank you.

this seems confusing and messy as fuck
In agreement with Thrasher, and like I told you already, I think you should just take it easy and spend time with your family right now. Don't worry about giving back, at least not right now.
we luv u ghostbutt <3
MemphisVonI'm thinking about getting Antichamber but I'm stuck at work. How is it?
I don't know about gameplay, but it is 66% off...
Monochromatic Bunny has been petitioning for a real colorblind mode since forever. I think at this point it's either not going to happen, or it really just needs people to be louder and more numerous about it.
I had planned on getting BioShock Infinite but my fiance gifted it to me.
I'm looking at the Civilization V bundle, and then I have no idea what I want.
Fiance bought me BioShock Infinite. Steam sale complete, everyone can go home. Bonus points because it includes Steam trading cardssss.
Since the store doesn't make all of the games on sale easily viewable, this is a nifty little site for that: http://www.steamprices.com/us/discounts/100/box/ratio
Oh god, you did it. I have no words, only a girlish squeal of delight.
Why would they need your driver's license when they have your passport? A passport trumps every other piece of identification as far as I know.
Removed prop collisions nooooooooooo
fieldsyikes, tf.tv community and making film arguments personal. incredible, anyway, awful acting is just barely subjective, if you've read movie reviews awful acting is often a point taken into whether a film is a good or not. As for the ultra-conservative, white man's burden ideals shown by Forrest Gump's "pureness" of character can be seen throughout the entire film in nearly every situation regarding the black man. they even make the black panther party appear as pretentious, young and naïve is just ridiculous and un-called for. this will be my last post in this thread because my vacation just started and i'm trying to relax, but feel free to add me on steam to continue the argument, thanks.
Excuse me, but how did I say anything personal about you, Fields? I don't think that if I were to reread my words that I would find anything similar to "Fields is a butthead." I honestly don't know what you're taking offense to, I literally said, in layman's terms, that you need to elaborate and that opinions don't make for valid points.
Awful acting is subjective. Tom Hanks isn't a beloved actor by many for no reason, yet you claim he's terrible. There's no solid fact to argue because the whole topic is one big opinion fest. Unless you're going to pull up a big textbook of how to act, you aren't going to be able to provide anything remotely factual.
It's not about Gump's purity, it's about being indifferent to the hardships and differences of the people around him, and reaching through to make close companions. It's just about loving unconditionally, which is really exemplified by his relationship with Jenny.
Bubba was just a guy looking for fortune so he could better support his family. Believing in his dream and ability isn't really what being pretentious is. If you're looking for a pretentious character I guess you could look at Lieutenant Dan, but he's really just a dude who's been through hell and seen some shit.
fieldsforrest gump is a terrible film because all it succeed in is making history whiter than it already is. its littered with awful acting and is a prime example of americans ability to only enjoy movies with unrealistic happy endings
"Awful acting" is too subjective to be considered a valid argumentative point.
"Making history whiter than it aleady is" needs a lot more explanation for it to be considered a valid point, or even to be understood. As it is, I don't think anybody really understands your point of view beyond "field angry, field smash!"
fieldsyes, forrest gump finally gets the girl. yeah she has aids, but they both are old and will live out a period of their lives together. if you dont think thats happy then your standards are too high. La regle du jeu, sansho the bailiff, pulp fiction, the big lebowski, the birds, the shining, fargo, dr strangelove, and Das Cabinet des Dr Caligari are my favorite films. im sorry if you dont think the acting in those films is good
Forrest Gump doesn't have a happy ending or a sad ending. It's defined as bittersweet because his lover died, but he has a child that he loves and gets to raise. You're assuming a hell of a lot about a good number of people you've likely never met when you try to say what they're capable of enjoying in a film.
I don't understand how that film list supports your argument or how it is relevant.

this brought tears into my eyes tbh.
Initially sensed tears, then I was all smiles as he described his disbelief.
Thanks for the link + time, Snowy.
blueberrymuffinfieldsits ok if you -frag me for saying forrest gump but im yet to hear why its anything but an overrated piece of garbage
I doubt that it's the worst movie you've ever seen and we have yet to hear why you think a movie that won 6 Oscars and nominated for 7 more is an overrated piece of garbage
Seconding Blueberry. If you're going to demand to be proven wrong, you need to supply some points for your argument.
On another note, I felt that Forrest Gump's original form, a novel, was more enjoyable than the film (although in a bit of a different direction). A lot more humor, and more adventure with Forrest that we didn't get to see in the film. I preferred the film ending to the book ending, but the latter is kind of interesting.
