#1 Faceman backup LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello, I want to scout for an open team but starting burns me out so I am looking for a chill open team to sub for. If I have fun playing with you, I don't care about the skill level of the team as long as everyone is interested in putting in the work to get better. I'm east coast and available most nights from 8:30 eastern till whenever.

I don't like to rate myself but I'm probably somewhere in the mid open level on scout. I like to watch high level stvs and keep my aim warm in dm and tr maps so I'd consider myself relatively dedicated with competent dm and gamesense. I've really only ever played scout for teams but if you babied me I could also probably roam and med, too.

Experience:
We like Shapes! - Scout (S10 UGC 6's Plat 3rd place)
MAXlander - Scout (S9 UGC Highlander Gold)
Max Points - Scout (S10 UGC Highlander Gold)

Teams that can only play on the weekends are a minority. The default match time can't please everyone but almost every team would rather play during the week.

#14 NeverWet in Off Topic
the301stspartanIf this turns out not to be toxic then I can see money being made (neverwet LAN sponsorship in return for mentioning them on tf.tv confirmed)

They have a FAQ .pdf on their site which touches on this:

4) Is NeverWet safe?
When used according to the directions, absolutely. With exception of the solvents in the topcoat, the key ingredients in the Top Coat are all used in food products. (Yes, you have eaten them.) The base coat materials, minus the solvents, are also non-toxic polymers. While the surfaces we create are nano-textured, there are no nano-particles as a part of this formulation.

#19 9 team invite in TF2 General Discussion
kirbyWhy did we go so long with polls for that? How are polls even a good idea? It's just a way of a team getting into invite because people want them there, not because they necessarily belong. Now I'm not saying any team voted into invite didn't belong in it, but it shouldn't be a situation where it's up to the people. Tournaments/Show matches are a great idea.

Maybe I'm just being cynical but I'm pretty sure the invite poll exists to get people to buy premium. I don't think we can actually kill it especially with a solution that would require more work on ESEA's end to set up a bracket for the last invite spot. A communitty run tournament like Blueberry's suggestion is a really good idea, though.

You could also put the bottom team and the IM winning team in the poll. Assuming no teams die.

#7 New map pugs? in Map Discussion
gr8stalinI can scour TF2maps for maps that look interesting/have potential to build a map pool as well.

Don't do this. There are only a small handful of maps with 6s play in mind that are actively in development. It would be a lot better to take suggestions from people who follow that stuff.

#3 Lan Predictions in TF2 General Discussion
reqqySeeds 1 and 2 and pretty much locked already, 3 and 4 would have some competition

Only if you just look at the standings. If you check out the schedules, though, quite a few upsets would be required for something other than Mix^ and AG in the 3/4 spots.

#4 backup roamer lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

Edy's got good aim, is available literally 24/7, and is always doing something to improve. I hate almost every person I've ever interacted with in this game but Edy is cool.

#114 Gpit Tonight in TF2 General Discussion
remedydon't vote it out just because a couple of players dont like scrimming it

Exactly. Vote it out because almost every 6s team that has ever existed actively avoids scrimming it unless it's gpit week.
