#10 Longer break inbetween rounds in TF2 General Discussion

I was thinking about this (and some other ruleset changes) about a week ago and decided to try them out in a scrim vs Reason. We extended the humiliation time from 5 seconds to 15 seconds using mp_bonusroundtime 15.

It took a little bit of getting used to but it was a much better system. Considering using that and some other small changes for a future tournament, feel free to try that command out though if you like the idea in scrims. It just adds 10 seconds of extra humiliation time for you to discuss things in.

Actually I don't think the killfeed would be weird at all, you're essentially proposing a direct copy of the CSGO layout at that point. Killfeed top right, everything else on one side or the other. Works for them, but there's definitely less info about previous maps on the screen.

h0b5t3rI did some math and figured something out, the average win to loss ratio for invite players is 50-50, pretty strange that it would work out that way right?

I hope that's not serious :D of course it's 50/50, if 6 invite players win a game then 6 invite players have to lose too.

I just reinstalled this hud to fix the problems and my scoreboard seems to have changed. It used to be much smaller and compact, with damage indicated there etc. It would be lovely to have a slightly smaller scoreboard with damage indicated if at all possible!

The spreads are really crazy for some of these recent games, I think you have to respect that there's a huge skill gap between Epsilon and Dogs for example and the ETF2L spread system is really difficult to achieve compared to ESEA where you're only measuring rounds.

Thank you for getting them up and in a great amount of time too. Unfortunately I think the Epsilon/dogs game might be delayed again but we'll see.

The system is automatic, you didn't have the required 5 gamers in there when the timer ran out and there is plenty of time. It is all very clearly laid out, and Buttnose was trying to delay, communicate and negotiate with both of the teams etc. If you didn't have 5 checked in after 15 minutes of warning and knowing that the game was gonna start around that time then I don't think you can blame the system.

For the Challengers Cup I added every High (equivalent to IM/top Open) team on steam and asked if they were going to sign up. It boosted numbers instantly - I wasn't persuading them, just reminding them. Some people don't frequent the forums or forget to sign up til it's too late. Would recommend for the Fall Classic.
