Major props to Nuze and Eepily for waffling for all the breaks, pauses and delays.
Really unfortunate to happen at this moment to because I honestly feel like the community was picking up some internal momentum. A new map got added recently with many more potential ones looking good, the prize pool system was redistributed and all the community casts/ invite happenings videos have been nice to watch.
The good thing is that all of that was community driven, I just hope people still have a drive for doing it with whatever comes next.
As others have said, Valve is focused on future technology and concepts like VR. So for the TF team to grow in Valve's current hiring methods, the candidate would not only have to share Valve's vision for the future of VR and whatever technology they plan, but also be willing to connect that somehow with TF2, and then they also have to be proficient in coding in a heavily modded, outdated engine. Its a lot of small boxes to check, not to mention being an extremely proficient coder, innovator, or whatever valve is looking for.

So b4nny wants to make 6v6 more like MM. Ok. Then by that standard, he should also be advocating for KoTH, CTF, and Payload. Right? Cause if he REALLY thinks that valve would respond to this game if we make it more "pub" friendly, we shouldn't limit ourselves to one game mode right? We should include every type under the sun, including Doomsday, PassTime, and the one with Grapple Hooks if he truly thinks this restrictionless route will gain us any points with Valve.
So why is he advocating for 5cp only? He does realize that MM includes Turbine, Swiftwater, Badlands, and Viaduct right???

glasssomething that happens a lot is that the viewer watches a big pick play out on the observer's cam, but the caster is on another cam and misses it, so the viewer actually knows what the caster is saying is wrong/irrelevant while he's saying it.
I guess your right, but I've seen it more often where the casters mention something like a pop/force, air shot etc... that is not captured by the observer, and I would have no idea how it happened or where unless the casters mentioned it

This and we've already recently seen froyotech lose maps in the iSeries. I think that if Froyotech achieves anything less than first place at these upcoming playoffs or Rewind lan, then maybe you'll see that reaction.
