Our top priority is to land a strong pocket maincaller. We have a few quiet gamers and so a leading presence is very necessary - think of the power you'll wield with your voice. Otherwise, you know the usual with my teams: growth mindset, no toxicity or immaturity, etc. BLANC has sorely missed roster stability in the past year so while long-term plans are never set in stone (this is TF2 after all), individuals who share our goals will be highly valued. And with the world sort of returning to normal, there's always the possibility of LAN...

What a shitty "argument." If the point is that the team had a bunch of restrictions, if they weren't playing in a lower level div then they wouldn't have said restrictions. If the point is that past Highlander players have not been successful before, I can point to many players and teams at Main and above who have had good seasons. Highlander gets shittalked for the format, not the players. Not to mention the high level Highlander experience the Bedtime Hotshots roster has, compared to Sweaty Spaghetti who are all finishing their second ever season of 6's at the IM level. Also what does offclassing have to do with anything?

There's something called being "magnanimous in victory" and instead this dude acts like a massive cunt for no reason at all. I don't care if you're beating Newcomer players or froyotech, no need to say what he did.

Problem: Nobody can agree on which maps are good. It's actually impossible to find a map that everyone likes, just look at the responses in this thread (and elsewhere). Some people hate Badlands, others hate Bagel, others Gullywash and Process, etc. etc. You will never have a map pool that satisfies the community. As a tie-in to that, people are divided on if KOTH is good or if 5CP is good.

Problem: TF2 players are allergic to trying new things, specifically maps. See the participation in various New Map Cup events over RGL's history. Their immediate reaction to a new map is "it sucks because it's new/weird" or "it sucks because I don't know how to play it." Turns out you have to actually play a fucking map before you know how, crazy.

Problem: If you make non-Invite divs run pick/ban, I'd wager teams would just ban all the newer maps and repeat the same three to four degen pug maps all season long. Oh wait, I don't have to wager because ESEA did that already and we saw how that turned out.

Problem: RGL's methods for handling the map pool are absolute shit. Need I remind everyone that they seriously tried to claim that people hated Granary after last season because it was the least popular map from a SEASON 2 POLL. Then they don't run Granary in the most recent New Map Cup. They could actually do proper things to get the playerbase's opinions on maps or facilitate new/old maps being introduced but nah. RGL not using common sense yet again.

So what we have are a myriad of problems and RGL isn't helping anyone with how they're going about it. And we will continue having this discussion until the end of time. Man, remember when in ESEA we just voted out Granary and then voted it back in? Good times.

If you are being penalized for not having demos in this day and age when you KNOW they've been requesting demos for seasons now it is nobody's fault but your own.

How is an Intermediate player not allowed to ring Medic in Intermediate when players like kurama and Knuckles have played Medic for an entire season in Amateur?

Granted all the 2021 losses were on EU ruleset so if this doesn't convince NA that EU ruleset is better, I don't know what will.

Not quite. Reptile joined the team about halfway through the season but on Soldier; CB was Medic for half the season with mackey stepping in the remainder. Then for LAN, mackey and Reptile switched roles. Reptile's S9 Medic performance was one of the best in ESEA history, which coincidentally was also tyrone's best performance.

Also, that team was eMg at the time. The froyotech name / brand did not come about until ESEA S16.
