MR_SLIN1. We won't be unbanning anything for the Rewind LAN because it could drastically change results due to the limited amount of time that teams have to prepare (less than one week). Players on both sides of the pond agreed that the rescue ranger and jarate were the worst offenders and needed to be banned regardless, at least for the time being.

No slin, players on both sides of the pond did not agree to this. No players from se7en were present at this meeting, Drackk was the only one available last night, once he saw the posts on tf.tv he joined Discord to tell you that no players from se7en agrees with these changes so close to LAN.

Unbanning items and also banning items for LAN goes two ways, allowing loads of new unlocks now is stupid because it won't give teams enough time to practice, but banning items also changes the way teams have been practising for over a season now. There is 0 consistency in anything you guys do. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Rescue Ranger or Jarate are good unlocks for the game, but nothing should be changed so close to the LAN.

I'm sure you were deeply concerned about making sure Shadowrun and Halo were on stage lol. If this was a TF2 only LAN it would have been the originally agreed upon ruleset. Next time.

The second you knew that having 45min timelimit would decrease the amount of games streamed, this dumb fucking idea should've been called off. You're also assuming that teams could set up their gear, get on the server, ready up, and then play a bo3 in the timespan of 2hours. The tournament would get so fucking delayed on day 2.

I don't think involving people in these meetings who are so personally invested in the tournament is a good idea. Sami is the one who has to go to her bosses with the ideas. And if her bosses got to where there are now by being good at what they do, they'll instantly reject a proposition like this.

Which I guess they did :)

b4nnyThe match ruleset has been revised to 30 min timelimit due to the Esports Arena's concerns over tournament scheduling. 5 winlimit for 5cp and 4 winlimit for koth, as well as the two 120 second tactical pauses are still in place. Tournament format will be included in an official news post soon.
