Responding to unsubstantiated gossip with more unsubstantiated gossip doesn't really address the substance underlying the quoted comments -- how this decision will destroy other teams, why this happened, what public statements Ronin will release, and its potential unfairness to involved players -- but it is an effective deflection technique so props for drawing attention away from the impetus of the original comments.

You know the curious part is what mal3a is going to say on the tftv post. I wonder how he is going to display this situation to the community. It already looks pretty bad, doesn't it? Cutting a medic that played with them for 2 season over drama related to a girl. Basically as a tl;dr, I was easier to replace then rando.phoroforieatbogiesso person a got cut cos of person b having a relationship with person c, which person a also liked?You basically got the whole situation down with one sentence.

Much like what kbk said:

- I was also offered a spot, but I said no due to being busy with IRL stuff. I talked over the options with ma3la in this situation, and I can assure you that the team would rather have kbk or me than to pick up a medic from another team and possibly kill that team. Absolutely no question about this. Obviously, kbk and I said we weren't able to play, so then other medics were up for discussion.

- It was pretty clear that things were gonna be awkward going into the next season. Keeping both Rando and you would be ideal, but it didn't seem to be in the cards. You told Rando that you thought he was an asshole or whatever but that you'd play because you wanna go to Europe, but everyone knew that'd just be a season and a trip to Europe of feeling awkward the entire time.

This can't even be compared to the b4nny/clockwork/lauren situation. The difference there was that lauren was actually into b4nny and clockwork, yet from what I understand, this girl never met you, never dated you, wasn't into you, and was cordial with you on the internet at best. Rando has actually met her, lol.

- The team wasn't playing favorites here, because we really hesitated to cut you in the first place. Strictly looking at your demeanor after all of this has happened, it seems like it was a good choice. Your tweet at them as well as the shit you said on the Ronin discord was pretty cringe. Something along the lines of "hey ronin management, it wasn't that great to be sponsored with you guys, but you tried. goodbye forever".

It definitely sucks for the banned players that they had to wait a year just to hear "yeah btw, you're permanently banned," but obviously the players did a really shitty thing. Part of me wishes they are unbanned because they were so fucking good and entertaining to watch, but on the other hand, it was unquestionably awful to exploit a gambling site.

It's extremely disappointing to me that I'll never see dazed and swag play in a competitive CS environment ever again.

First year of doing Reddit Secret Santa. I've talked to my friends with how it's been for them in the past few years they've done it, and they loved it. They've received pretty cool stuff and are always super hyped up for it each year.

I gave it a shot this year for the first time. I spent close to $100 on the guy I was supposed to buy for (there's no hard limit on minimum or maximum, but the average is roughly $30. I guess I went a little overboard, lol). The guy loved his gifts, etc.

All I get from my Secret Santa is this <$5 plastic New Jersey Devils license plate frame. I didn't even mention if I had a car or not. I listed a bunch of things I'm interested in, and I very briefly mentioned "I like hockey, but I don't think I really want/need anything. My favorite team is the New Jersey Devils."

I guess it could have been worse, but I'm absolutely not going to use it, lol.

niteTheFragileNot sure if this was discussed already about the crossbow:

"1% ubercharge for every 15hp healed up to 10%"

The crossbow can fire every 1.76 seconds. So, assuming it's just a case of simple math and there's something I'm not missing here, an uber can be built as quickly as about 15 seconds in the best case scenario?
well, 17.6 seconds if you manage to do it in 10 arrows all at max healing, or marginally faster if you reload the arrow while you heal someone else and switch back every 1.7 seconds. this is pretty totally unrealistic though, because a class has to be doing 150+ damage to itself every 2 seconds at max range from a medic. i'd imagine you cant do it with any class alone. scout obviously you can only heal like 100 safely, for soldier and demo their reload speed would likely prevent them from being able to do 150 damage to themselves at such a consistent rate. so to optimize your uber build you'd have to have 2 classes full time hurting themselves at max range while a third stands near med to heal during crossbow reloads

It should be 15.8, because you shoot 10 times but you reload 9 times, right? I still might be messing up a bit of math here, but regardless, it's roughly 15-18 seconds.

But yeah, getting someone to constantly deal 150 damage to themselves in 1.7 seconds probably won't happen unless there's some pretty weird scenario happening (like someone constantly hitting resupply). I don't expect any kind of incredible new meta to come from this, but I still find it interesting that uber can now be built that fast.
