Not_MatlockI had my wisdom teeth removed. I forgot that there were stitches in, so I accidentally pulled them out. I put some gauze over the now open wound and went to sleep. The next morning when I woke up I pulled the gauze out and there was a big blood clot stuck to it. I could feel it coming out of my jaw as I pulled it out.
Then later on I had my entire upper jaw removed, cut into 3 pieces, and then put back into my head with titanium pins. I got my mouth wired shut for 2 weeks while I healed and I could only eat liquids the entire time.
When I got the wires removed and was able to open my mouth again I could barely open it more than an inch.
Then once that was done they had to go in and put pig bones into my jaw, then once that was done they drilled back in, to put in screw holes for implants. When that was done they cut back into my mouth to expose the screws so they could put the implants in.
And my orthodontist is still trying to get my bite correct.
What a mouthful 8)
