If your typing/clicking gets picked up by your voice activity and you don't fix it when someone mentions it to you, I will local mute you to preserve my own sanity.

default.vtf is the one as it currently is in the game files
default_clean.vtf is an attempt I made a while back to make it more visible and not be grey
Can make it even more visible if needed. Let me know. Enjoy

edit: Am in a rush but made a somewhat functional outlined version for pot8o. also in DL folder

#9 Will CS:GO key update affect TF2 economy? in TF2 General Discussion

A large part of the selling/stockpiling that was going on came from fraudulent groups. Those groups will move on to some other thing like G2A game keys, which they've been doing for years anyway.

Keep in mind actual trading in cs:go has now become "smaller" with all the fraud being gone. Only way this has big impact on TF2 keys is if the fraudulent groups were to move on to TF2 which Valve would just respond to by also making TF2 keys untradeable

My prediction is cs:go traders just find their version of TF2 earbuds with some popular AWP or AK skin.

The legit people that traded 100s of keys per day made major profits for a long time so in the end the loss they face now doesn't impact them as much as they will complain about. Calling them 'legit' is also grey area because many were probably aware where the keys were coming from

Anyway trading is lame. Thanks for reading my essay

#9 How to disable pyro's flames? in Customization

Like kermit said VAC won't care.
The main issue is the other stuff it'd potentially allow.

It's a grey area for playing in leagues, though I doubt they'd care much about flame particles. There's other things like the box shadows exploit, sound replacements, etc which in the context of league play would be actual cheats and replacing/removing files like this is one way to find such exploits

Enjoy your lack of pyro flames!

#6 How to disable pyro's flames? in Customization
stephif you mean all flame particles, i don't think it's possible to replace those particles with any publicly known method :/

could be wrong though!

Correct. It'd require preloading custom particles which doesn't work due to sv_pure.
There are exploits but the few that know it never made it public because it'd allow for things like preloading the gamebanana wallhack textures

#2 wandum caster feedback in TF2 General Discussion

I think you're doing good.

First link appears to be a dumm/beater cast?

Main point of criticism I can offer is that you sometimes take over completely and keep play-by-playing. Even if some action is happening it's alright to just let the analysis take over for a bit. Some moments like that are in the gully sauna slayer/ascent game with eemes.

It's important for both casters and the viewers that there's a back and forth, even if a lot of action is happening.
Idk about most people but if play-by-play goes on for over a minute I tend to start zoning it out. I assume a lot of viewers eventually just focus on the gameplay instead of the commentary like I do if there's little variation

Just a thing that comes with experience. Plenty of play-by-play casters start off that way. I remember in the gully game eemes said he didn't want to interrupt, but imo any caster should be able to interrupt the other if they go for too long. it helps the overall quality of the cast from the perspective of the viewers

#60 b4nny doesn't support iseries in TF2 General Discussion
MisterDannyhe wants an international LAN that supports a format that can lead to growth rather than stagnation,

BTS will be standard rules/whitelist but he's still gonna show up.

MisterDannyhe's done supporting a format he doesn't believe in any longer, props to him.

He's playing traditional 6s in RGL.

B4nny's logic only applies if it's convenient for him

#9 b4nny doesn't support iseries in TF2 General Discussion

From what is said at "deeper explanation" he seems to believe stagnation for potential payoffs is bad. But he also believes we just need to give Valve more time and comp feedback and they'll start supporting us. Makes no sense

#4 is there a way to remove enemy pyro flames? in Q/A Help

I miss the pyro update because it bugged flames for certain specs causing all flames to be invisible. good times. One of those things they shouldn't fix

You can't remove pyro flames unless you use some serious exploits with preloading. Aka the ones that allow you to preload anything. even the gamebanana wallhacks. So you'd need an actual cheat for it

#2 Can we bring back saloon.tf please in TF2 General Discussion

up to Geel and I doubt he wants to take the risk.
he's trying to run a legitimate business unlike the extremely shady sites those cs:go youtubers advertise
