I was supposed to be at LAN right now with my friends.
I was doing just fine the past couple weeks of quarantine but the past 2 hours have hit really hard.
Every day is the same. Realizing how different the next couple days were supposed to be. But now it's all just nothing.
My life for the past year and a half or so has vastly improved. I'd say my depression that I've had for the past 6 years has almost faded away. Stable job, little stress at work, combining work with classes that are going well, more social (and hopefully likeable) person.
But right now I feel it coming back. The days right now feel exactly the same as back then.
I miss my friends. And I don't know when I'll be able to see them again
edit: Talking to friends through discord the past couple days has made me recover some of my sanity. I'll be okay
Tried to make riot acc. It says you can get a key if you watch Valorant streams on the 7th and onward
I guess now they're just giving away a couple keys to get people hyped and watching twitch streams in hopes of getting one. On the 7th they'll probably drop like 100k keys and open the servers

is there a more extensive resource on what this bug is exactly? I've not heard of it.
Am I just misunderstanding? It's seperated on the exploit list from "Bugging player model animations" so it's not the hitbox being off
If I'm not misinterpreting the bug then I don't really get that because I never had any hitbox issues headshotting people like that. I've always considered it a way of throwing off people who only know how to move a crosshair horizontally at non-crouch head height. Might as well ban any spy disguise that isn't "enemy spy" because the spy hitboxes don't align with the disguise model for everything else
Also in general can we actually know what these exploits are? How is a newer player supposed to even know what shit like quantum crouching is and what "Crouching sniper player model" means? How do we interpret that? Crouching is no longer allowed as sniper? If you get a kill whilst crouching it's bug abuse or even if you crouch for a couple seconds? If a spy tries to pistol me and I try to throw him off by spinning in circles and spam crouching am I breaking a rule because this can be interpreted as making my hitbox wonky to hit? Please explain

Midfights are pretty easy to do. Just reset the round after every mid cap w console commands. Very good way of scrimming, but I've never seen anyone attempt it
I think someone tried to make a plug-in for it at some point, but only read about it like once

He uploaded a 2nd video later clarifying some stuff concerning TF2, LAN volunteering and the community as a whole still being somewhat positive (he still plays TF2 at times though production just drained him of any desire to be involved in comp again). My guess is he came to regret even bringing up the subject w some backlash and removed both videos. He's probably talked about it on stream in detail if you feel like going through his clips page from the past month or so

I didn't walk around the city the past 2 years so if the LAN is canceled I'm just going on a citytrip w my friends. Genuinely upset LAN hugs won't be a thing this year though you can catch me crying about it at the mermaid statue and the zoo B)
JWBcan anyone give any specifics on the crosshair kaptain uses in his videos ? if it is just the in-game crosshair7 (or a vtf variant that doesnt have assigned colour), then what is the RGB (99% sure its not just 255 255 255)? if anyone knows the scale that'd be cool too. his config/crosshair folders dont help because he doesnt use the same crosshair in his videos when he actually plays.
Kaptain probably used Lawena which reset it to TF2's default 200 200 200. I tried sampling it and it gave similar values
Looks like crosshair7 to me but no real way to find out other than asking kaptain if he remembers. Lawena settings would also have made the crosshair scale 32 but I suggest using trial and error for finding what looks similar
if they're like really really blurry you're probably just missing a flag. No MipMap, No Level of Detail, No Minimum MipMap and 8bit Alpha are required. Point Sample is optional (not selecting it is like some sort of antialiasing)
i've not used VTFedit in years. I use the paint.net vtf plug-in instead which saves them directly as VTFs
