A couple of NA players made a 2nd pugchamp. Mostly open players from what I heard and apparently it's active. I'm from EU so never tried it myself

I'm pretty certain someone once said that it's possible to get max speed/distance as demo with a non-ctap stickyjump. I believe it was during a ToTH jump segment like 2 or 3 years ago? As long as you don't mess up a regular crouch jump stickyjumping is exactly the same.
Not sure about loose cannon jumping but that's sort of niche and that feels just as fast if not faster than stickyjumping when done correctly so a ctap probably is redundant with that as well as long as you do the regular crouch jump correctly.
Every other example I can come up with is too niche to matter

Looks like there's been some mention of gully and snake mids.
I mainly have problems with gully mids.
I usually go the standard big door to elbow roof to jump up and help the demo deny scouts and bombs.
But I feel like I engage those scouts and roamers wrong because I often tend to die at the start of those fights.
If I survive the first 5 seconds of the actual fighting I'm usually fine but I often find myself dying in those first seconds.
How to engage the scout rush on our demo? Just rush the scout and hope for meatshots or at least follow up from our demo or pocket?
How to deny the soldier? Already start shooting when he's on the ground? Only start shooting when he's already in the air? Stay back to be safer but do less damage to the roamer in the air or get in close for meatshots but be at greater risk of taking a 100 damage rocket (I feel like this is the mistake I make but I'm not sure)
What if both happen at once? Still deny the soldier and hope our demo can deny the scout?
How about double soldier bombs? Can't really back up into elbow/choke because there's usually already 3 people standing there so you just make it easier for them to do a lot of damage
What if the roamer goes dropdown? Leave it to the pocket?

Can't play most of Harbinger league due to exams in August.
I'll definitely be playing again in September. I have a couple of TF2/reflex friends that play it as well.
Wanted to make a vaal power siphon elemental assassin but not sure how fun that'll be with the assassin nerfs and power charge nerfs. Might play elemental buzzsaw in some form instead because I really enjoyed Mathil's dreamfeather ST pathfinder

I lag out a lot which can cause players to go invisible. On rare occasions it also messes up the models like a scout showing up as a demoman jumping around. Nothing like running into a pub med to then be wm1'd because it was a pyro all along. I've heard of many others that experience the same thing
Since you lagged out not long before the clip that may have happened here.
However I never experience the model actually fixing itself which is pretty odd. For me it never fixes itself until I start recording a (new) demo
Could probably just make another request for it and mention you should be on it already so someone will check if there's any issues.
They're usually fast with those requests so should be fixed within a day
It's definitely viable. Muuki, Jukebox and plenty of other soldiers do/did it with great success.
I wouldn't say it's because roamers suck at offclassing. There's just more closet sniper mains among scouts.
And it's just sort of the accepted meta for a lot of players that scouts play the offclasses.
Also if you sac something a good ole roamer bomb is usually more succesful than a scout trying to get in. So having a sniper and a roamer at the same time allows you to exploit a sniper pick more if the intention is to force/kill a med

kmoo0105I feel like the last point in gorge has the height but the point is extremely unsafe to go near because of its elevation. The defending team could just spam from the top. The common pub engineer spot is also pretty much impossible to destroy without an uber. Maybe that could be changed?
The crates behind last point wouldn't be an issue in 6s and HL probably.
It's out in the open and the map favors snipers a lot already.
So having your combo or a roamer on there would just make them target practise.
A sentry on there wouldn't be that good in 6s because there's no wrangler/rescue ranger. You can just spam rockets out of its range. And the engineer can't hold on the crates to repair the sentry because there's often going to be a sniper.
In HL it might be more of a problem with the wrangler but as long as you have teammates smarter than ye average pubber I doubt it'd be broken
