#22 Forum chatbox? in Site Discussion
LangeI personally have never felt the urge to use a chatbox on a website. I have yet to see one that did not devolve into drivel and spam.

Until now!

MR_SLINdon't most people just hop into a stream and chat there?

I mean yeah, it's the same idea as that in some ways, but this is always up when popular streamers aren't.

LangeOblivionageThere could always just be a few moderators moderating the chat so there is no advertising/arguing.

I support this.

Who wants to sit around and moderate a chatbox all day? I'm not sure this is the best use of our limited resources.

You underestimate the desire that exists for people to want to be moderators. I don't think having chat moderators is an issue at all. Besides I don't think they'll be needed too much. You really think people will act like retards on it all day?

#13 Forum chatbox? in Site Discussion

A chat for each forum thread is a little much, that just defeats the purpose of threads. And the chatbox.

hookyshlanerwhat about /j #tftvForgot about this. Just put this in a mini IRC client and put it somewhere on the homepage, or below the forum index.

I think this would be cool, and have it use your username for the irc. I guess this way you could access the chat outside of tf.tv

NoonaSounds like a neat idea. But my worries would be the same as any, if the chatbox will actually be used for its intended purposes (Questions, hardware help, etc...) Or will it just be used for immature rants, spams of advertisement, etc..

Yeah I've thought about that, but we could just have an admin or two on there to make sure no one does stupid shit. Don't think anyone will abuse it though. Just need to know what enigma thinks and how possible this is to actually implement.

#1 Forum chatbox? in Site Discussion

I've seen other forums with a live chatbox where people can chat in real time. I think it'll help a lot when people need simple things that don't deserve their own thread. People can ask for ringers/scrims, help with configs, new people who don't know what's going on can ask anything, newbie mix newbies can ask for coaches instead of making a thread every week, asking for a few more guys for an inhouse pug, etc etc. Or people can just chill and talk. Lemme know what you guys think.

#2 Twitch chat not loading? in TF2 General Discussion

This has been a problem on Twitch before but it's working for me right now so I'd guess Opera if you just switched to that. Try using some other browser and see if it's like that still.

#2 Ycpunk - medic lft open/ugc in Recruitment (looking for team)

Been playing with yc for a while now. Responds well to criticism and picks up any suggestions you give him right away. Can adapt to your team's playstyle quickly. Doesn't know the meaning of rage and is always fun in mumble, was pretty much always available for scrims, and has a laugh that cheers up the clinically depressed. Worth a tryout for sure.

#1 Demo lft open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Played in S13 but team died midway due to teammate getting banned and Gek being too Asian. I'm constantly playing PUGs and ringing for other teams. I'm on pretty much every weeknight for scrims and usually Sundays too. Demo reviews are my shit. Ragers are not my shit. Looking for a team that doesn't lose their spirit after losses but rather learns from them. I specified open in general rather than low/mid/high cause I think the level I can play is very team dependent. Try me out pls.

Also willing to play pocket if you guys are real chill, but much prefer demo. Add me at http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198024956634

#3 LFT as Pocket in Recruitment (looking for team)

Panda's scrimmed with our team as pocket multiple times and does pretty well, surprising that he has no esea experience. good addition to any low-open team for sure, good enough for mid-open teams as well. cool guy in mumble too. deserves a shot.

#225 Do you like the song above? in Music, Movies, TV

Meh, not a fan of that type of music, whatever it's called. Heavy metal, grunge? Just not pleasant to my ears.

#21 Tip of the Hats (Promo video) in TF2 General Discussion

Is it just me or is the date/time of the event at the end of the video wrong? Or at least weirdly worded.

#211 Do you like the song above? in Music, Movies, TV

Admittedly I didn't listen to the entire 9 minutes but I like it. Saved it for later. I'm a fan of jazz, I sample it a lot in my own shit.

vocals weren't bad, just wasn't really satisfying to listen to. instrumental was soothing though.

I do like me some funk sounds. Jazz and sax were nice in there.

#5 rr- Reviewing Demo's in TF2 General Discussion

Here's an STV, I play demo.

Alias: Turbolicious
Open teams scrims
http://www.sendspace.com/file/qdntq9 (Granary, 4-4)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/nxihf3 (Gully, 3-0 in our favor)

I suck at granary and could use some advice, especially on mids. Gully one is there in case you feel like doing a double whammy. If possible I'd like to be with you in mumble while you do this, but I'll settle for a stream VOD as well.

#31 Hey ESEA. The Viewers want a Rematch! in TF2 General Discussion
london_callingya know, if there was enough evidence other than him whining about being picked on that he DIDN'T have anything to do with this shit, i'd be the first to apologize.

but you're right, i shouldn't single out someone with a history of suspicious behavior, but its really hard to understand why someone would do this in the first place. you would have to understand its pretty frustrating for this to happen to you and not have any clue why it was happening. who would hate us enough to take the trouble of sabotaging a match? whats the point? why is this only happening in open? and why were the 4 people i mentioned implicated in the first place?

never had a problem with bape or bullet or anyone in game or outside of it. no reason for me to talk shit to anyone tbh. but it sucks to be on the receiving end of some stupid lame shit such as a ddos attack.

Yeah it's frustrating, I agree, and I can't exactly put myself in your shoes but I understand. Childish shit going on around here.
