anyone knowledgeable to explain the netcode behind sub ticks?
how can the server know for sure an event happened at a certain timestamp without the client hacking?
how much of this is based on input from the community like what mastercoms did at some point?
maybe
JakeyTwiggymany of your points have already been covered by older generations of gamers, and sometimes on this very website already. Not to even mention playcomp.tf or comp.tf
Despite the age most of this information is still relevant especially for newcomers. Therefore if you could do an aggregation of what already exists you would answer a lot of the themes in your post and save you some effort on the things that have NOT been discussed about already
Oh for sure. I think the issue with information on 6s was not whether or not it was available but rather the fact it’s not all in one readily available place. When I first started I had to do an insane amount of research and forum reading that I don’t think new players should have to go through. I feel like it would be better to have one place they go to, find the topic they need help with, study/learn more about it, then move on to the next one or get back to the game. If that makes sense
funnily enough there is this thread that popped up which is about achieving something close to what you state: https://www.teamfortress.tv/62877/mapreview-tf-competitive-tf2-resource-repository
this is a cool idea instead of creating yet another how to series for the zillionth time.
Do you plan to include written ressources as well? I'm thinking old sigma guides or even comp.tf pages.
