I use ttvlol and it works pretty consistently. Sometimes I have to refresh a stream or wait a little bit for it to load, but it's infinitely better than twitch without any adblocks. I'm not sure if it works through the tftv site though

I'm assuming it's copyright infringement if you use footage coming from his stream therefore if you only edit your own POV the claim doesn't stand anymore.
But you could go further.
Here it says :

The territorial scope will be worldwide, and, in addition, it is an irrevocable, fully sub-licensable, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to exploit in any medium and in any form whatsoever the content of its streams

This means that Twitch can grant licences to third parties without requiring the streamer‘s consent; which may lead a streamer who wants to have full control over their content to consider renegotiating their contract with the platform.
