i’ve spent the last 9 months or so away from TF2 getting the mental and emotional help i needed as well as fighting off alcoholism, and the past 3 months have been amazing without the bouts of depression, suicidal thoughts, and urge to drink my problems away
there’s light at the end of the tunnel, people
dishsoapk games over tom brady has the infinity rings everyone prepare to die
mr. goodell i don’t feel so good...
tsarhe broke the law and paid the consequence for his actions. i cant believe that he wasnt aware of his visa situation. he should be held to the law just like anyone else without special privilleges.
he was 13 when his visa expired so i highly doubt he even knew what a visa was at that point
ya he’s technically been in the country illegally but considering the circumstances i think he’s being treated a little unfairly and the situation is being handled like he snuck into the country illegally through the mexican border or something
botmodebethesda's fiscal year ends in march so don't expect any announcements for another month at least
it's less of bethesda not announcing anything and more of 0 community events for ctf taking place
QOL and battlefy haven't even tried to do anything for ctf and dreamhack hasn't told anyone what's gonna be at dreamhack summer or dreamhack winter in terms of quake champions
Lunacidequake champions is getting ditched as soon as diabotical comes out
some of the pros and semi-pros are jumping ship to diabotical but myself and a lot of other people fear that it’s gonna end up like reflex because without the quake name attached to them arena fps games tend to fall off very quickly and end up dead
as for quake champions, the fps issues, engine and netcode issues, balancing issues, and the fact that no ctf events have been announced two months into 2019 have most of us losing hope
Air_they are probably fucked, even if it was a complete mistake.
jayy told us that whsh is unbanned and his karma got reset back to 10 so it looks like esea is issuing unbans to anybody who was affected
on one hand dumping all that salary is great for them in free agency, but on the other hand there's no one left on the roster that will really wow any free agents
i don't think KD and kyrie are chomping at the bit to play with enes kanter and dennis smith jr.
the knicks could always use those two plus deandre jordan and their 2019 draft pick (if it ends up the first overall pick) to trade for an all-star caliber player to build a team around through free agency, but that seems like a long shot
weeb_whackerYou're 100% right actually, after thinking about just how good the team would be next year if the lakers moved mountains to get AD, even if it means giving up kuzma ball ingram zubac and a couple picks. You have to fact check me on this but I'm pretty sure the lakers have cap space for another star after AD.
if the lakers let almost all of the people they picked up in free agency walk then i could see them having the cap space
however, considering how terrible they’ve been without lebron i would say depth is also really important and clearing ur bench to sign a superstar might work in the short-term but not the long-term
mustardoverlordafter listening to the dunc'd on trade deadline podcast I think the offer they built from the knicks might actually be compelling to the pelicans
basically it's porzingis and the 2019 1st rounder top 1 protected, plus guys like hardaway to match salaries
so basically the knicks would have to give up both porzingis and the potential first overall pick in the draft? i guess that’s worth it if they know they can sign davis to an extension as well as recruit another superstar in free agency but i personally think they’d be better off just trying to get a superstar and another all-star caliber player on a discount during free agency, keeping porzingis by dumping players and salaries somewhere, then drafting high and going full “win now” mode
fuegoBust? Honestly? They're not Darko and Kwame just because they're not phenomenal out the gate. Not every player is gonna be a star, that doesn't mean they can't be solid rotation pieces. Just so happens that Lonzo and Ingram don't fit with Lebron's playstyle or the Lakers' timeline very well.
That Knicks scenario sounds farfetched to me, but I agree they could build a contending team if they draft well and manage to move Hardaway and Lee. Kawhi seems destined to go to the Clippers at this point, but an AD trade could convince him to stay given a good playoff run. The contract situation doesn't work out at all with your Celtics trade, and a trade would have to include Tatum and/or Brown.
the celtics trade i proposed doesn’t work out contractually but i assume it would take more than an even trade involving davis and horford/hayward for the pelicans to be happy, while also assuming that the other players could be flipped to rebuilding teams like the suns/heat/bulls/cavs/hawks for draft picks and/or cash
calling the first round picks other than kuzma i agree is harsh but they just don’t work in the scheme lebron wants to run and lebron is the core player to build around for the next 4 years so trading away the young player that best fits his playstyle should be avoided at all costs
fuegoI dont see how that compares to what Boston, Toronto, or even trash teams like the Bulls or Knicks could offer.
that's why i said ideally the lakers want to keep kuzma
we all know out of all the first round picks the lakers amassed kuzma is likely to be the only player who isn't a bust so they're gonna have to trade him if they want davis
the knicks would have much more success trying to lure davis in during free agency since they have the cap space to sign him and another all-star to long term deals while keeping porzingis around AND drafting zion/r.j. barrett/bol bol/ja morant
toronto has a chance if kawhi stays but even if he does i don't think the raptors have enough talent to warrant gutting some of their best starting and bench players for davis considering keeping lowry, ibaka, siakam, and anunoby is important to them contending for titles
the celtics honestly have a better chance of trading for davis if they offer up hayward, horford, and smart/bird/brown
