kKaltUuIt says on top that this match is starting at 20 as well, not too happy about this getting in the way of HL showmatches, expected more out of 6s management
It was on purpose, who wants to watch highlander? They are doing tf2 a favour.
I think this is really going to kick twitch in the balls, especially in terms of quality of service, YouTube is massive and would take a large portion of viewers away if some big tournaments went over their and started streaming live through YouTube.
One of the big things twitch has to its advantage is the community/twitch chat, but I really hope this makes twitch actually come out with a decent html video player.
It would also be really interesting to see how YouTube handle ad revenue or any other monetary tools for streamers, but I really hope this is a way to bring high quality streams to the mix, whereas I like watching twitch streamers some do put little to no effort and just take their position for granted without actually providing gaming content.
The music thing as well is kinda annoying but I think for quite a few decent and interactive streamers it won't be a problem, and if you like playing music it's pretty easy to play music without it broadcasting out to everyone anyway.
This would need to be piss easy and work flawlessly to get people to play it, I'd also suggest giving out prizes as some incentive when it's available to all, maybe something like highest win % at the end of the month or something. That way you will have people playing and actually trying to win as well.
Either way, I'm in.
holy shit this looks insane, if only i had frags worth recording!
When the game was in beta it had a lot of promise apart from the F2P aspect with the loadouts they got going, it's such a shame that this seems to be moving to more of a cash grab than anything else. There are so many anti competitive decisions it's just doesn't make sense on how they think these things would work.
Been meaning to make a post like this in a long while but does anyone know of tf2 players that then made it big in another game or as a result of their digital sport?
One example which I've know for a while, jerax who plays with MVP.Hot6 in Korea and has qualified for TI5 used to play demo in ETF2L. I played vs. Him in div6 and his team were our biggest rivals.

I know oplaid writes for the daily dot, and that dude that made process is making maps for another game, was wondering if there's any others.
Not gonna touch lanksys incredibly hairy arms :(
COLLY PLEAASE RELEASE IT I WILL PERFORM A SEXUAL ACT ON U PLEASE
Dota2 players get ddosd because they took almost little to no effort to protect themselves, they still used Skype and made themselves incredibly vulnerable, it happened to CSGO but it's not as common anymore.
And as Arie said, 2+ years ago and going even further back servers/players were ddosd loads of times, hell I remember Byte being specifically targeted for ddosing so much that they even ddosd the pub servers he played on.
TF2 probably isn't worth the time ddosing players for refined and shit.

this is going to be my favorite unreleased hud
I can't really see how this game will be competitive as there just looks like there's so much going on it will be hard to follow, I can imagine it being a fun game to play though.
