ok it turns out disabling steam beta participation fixed it

I got this really strange problem where it appears that max players on any server is 1 and most servers show ip instead of name. When I try to join some server it can be either the game crashes (most common) or "bad spectator password".

I have no clue what the cause is, I just quit the game after playing scrims normally yesterday and tried to play again today. Does anyone know how to fix this or why it happens?

i assumed the idea would be something like season/cup in the summer -> summer map, winter cup -> winter map, and so on. i think this seem like an interesting idea but if the other alternatives are available then people would obviously play whatever they are used to or whatever is the "best" version so the seasonal maps may not be used.

so if the league provides the server they can make sure the current pool of maps on the server agree with what they want to be played.

i like this idea actually but it feels like it would be really hard to enforce unless the leagues are providing the servers

installing a ttf-mscorefonts package worked (well enough) for me, for cjk you need wqy-microhei font. idk what distro you are using but they should both be available in your package manager.

tofu hhkb with healios + some xda keycaps, don't really use this because it turns out that i dislike linear switches and hate the xda profile
i also have an old planck with mx brown switches that i use on my Gaming Setup but the day i can bother to get new switches and keycaps for the tofu i will switch.

define "good", i have played div2 as roamer on linux and i know hp has played div1

some built in fonts can be missing on linux but there are alternatives, you also need to halve your in game sensitivity to get the same cm/360 as on windows. other than that i have had no issues with config/huds

you could try something like streamlink but then there is no chat unless you run that in another window (not 100 this is completely ad free, i don't really use it myself)
