-6 and no posts with criticism :/
This is a pretty neat idea, but why limit it to just Spy? Even the 'sixes classes' are played differently in HL, if possible you should look into including all classes.
I'd suggest doing this kind of mutual mentoring in 6s too, but sssssecret sssstratssss
fraacIs this tonight?
Top of left sidebar. Upcoming Events box is your friend.
I vaguely remember someone offering to rip the audio out of FC vods/youtube and host the files for an RSS feed and iTunes. Might be imagining things though.
+1 I'd be happy if this happened
yo i don't know jack about pug.na system, but
would it be feasible to have the bot rcon onto the server and randomize the password before sending it out to players, or is it common passwords on purpose to let spectators watch?
SalamancerBluee, is there a way to modify the image in the minimap? Some parts of Gullywash are more easily recognizeable than others, and it'd be especially good if the map wouldn't include the non-playable background areas.
If you mean cutting out the useless areas players can't get to, yes, I was just lazy doing this one. If you mean removing some of the roofing covering interesting areas, not sure yet.
Re: mini maps/overviews/etc.
While I can't say if this will end up on ESEA servers or not at the moment, stuff is being worked on.
Edit to clarify, was on phone: This is a web app, it requires SourceMod atm, but is being ported to Valve's plugin API. All of it will be open source once the Valve plugin is stable-ish (currently just one bug!)
I don't have many points to add to this because tired, but when you have more people involved and a more stable schedule, contact Robin to see if he or any others would be willing to join in. One of the biggest viewer draws of MagicalKillaCow's recent charity TF2 stream was the fact that Robin was scheduled to show up at the end of it. I personally had never heard of this guy before and I assume, possibly wrongly but whatever, that not many others knew of him either. Yet because he talked to the right people, he managed to raise a cool £1100/$1800+ from a 12 hour stream with an average of ~150-200 viewers IIRC.
Also, talk to popular EU streamers & players. You easily increase the audience size by bringing in people from around the world and also ease the work burden on yourself. E.g. for a 24h stream you could ask an Australian streamer to cover a few hours while the Americans get a bit of sleep, then they could come back on to wrap things up.
tldr don't rush into this. Take the time to figure out how you can maximize viewer count and keep them entertained. While I was really impressed with what MKC's stream accomplished, I feel like it could have been better if the date were pushed back and they worked on it a little longer.
Oh, and I vote for keeping it all on the tf.tv stream. I think it'd work out better in the long run.
Lost all my wallpapers a while back, bar one that's in my Dropbox: http://i.imgur.com/qt5DXJk.jpg
Digging #3 and 7, ty for posting them
i usually count in pairs of fours because im a quick guy
DunderBrook so are there any vods for either of the games? I was asleep when this all went down
Haven't tried them myself but here's the ESEA pages with STV demos
dt vs ft: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3123433
cc vs m^: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3123432
whether these are the correct stvs after the update mess and server hopping, i dont know
I've been working on this since yesterday, though my connection speed took a dive so it's been slow going.
I'm using DepotDownloader to download TF2 exactly as it was before the Mecha update; same method I saw used on some L4D2 forums after a demo-breaking update. I'll post a guide on how to do it when I see it working, but I can't upload or seed atm so it'll be DIY :/
Here's the etf2l thread to watch: http://etf2l.org/forum/general/topic-6647/
