No. Macs are horrible for clients, they always fuck up because of the OS operating system. Windows computers are a lot better for gaming because it's been around and there are so many coders for windows systems.......GET A PC!!!

IRC is a good tool to use. It has already been setup and it is not hard at all to learn. While it may keep casual players away I still see newer players try to participate in pugs. There are so many steam groups for pugs and that's where most of the casual gamers go to participate in.
How hard is it to use IRC? the answer: not at all.

get a laptop
torrent MSOffice 2012 or 2010 or w.e
buy notebooks for each class, take good notes.
I have a tablet and a laptop, I use the laptop for work and the tablet to fuck around in class when there is nothing productive going on. Laptops are far superior to tablets because they are for college students. Tablets haven't been exploited to the point where they are on the same level as a laptop.
