DJC joins Sal and me to recap the invite drama, the dt/ft fiasco, ESEA issues, ugc all stars, and whatever other tf2 topics arise. I have a batch of cool new hats/items, including a balloonicorn (if sal doesn't take it for himself). Don't miss out!
8:00 EST over @ www.twitch.tv/fatmop
IF THERE IS A BRIGHT SPOT: 950 people sat through 20+ mins of low/mid time filler.
This cannot happen again. Fully Charged will have zero punches pulled tomorrow.
TaggerungIf anyone actually watched and paid attention to the "Ask me TF2 Questions" stream I did 3 days ago that went on for 3 hours. I said that BP was the first team I have been on where we develop very specific strats and plays for maps that we practice as much as we can. If the team we go against in a match knew our Process strat where Shrugger and I push in to force the enemy med, they could easily prepare a counter strat for our play.
I bet money that in matches many of you have played in, at least one person on your team will say "I've heard that -insert persons name- likes to push up far left at mid" or "This team likes to take boxes and push across from there." So don't act like knowing how the team you have a match against plays a map isn't helping your team out. TF2 isn't all about DM skills, especially in Invite
You guys only scrim the same 6 teams (the ones you'll play in matches) -- you're clearly better than all but mixup and MAYBE dont trip. During these scrims you have 5-6 specs per scrim watching. Invite players trade STV demos of eachother like packs of skittles. Long story short: you all know.
What is it about the community requesting invite scrim streams that drives you to be this emotional? Just say 'no', and move on? I stand by every word I said in my other post, I think more invite teams should stream so the casuals have access to the teams and their personalities. Considering the time investment 90% of invite makes to the game, catering to the community we're trying to grow shouldn't be this big of a ask, nor should it elicit such ridiculous responses.
Oh and I wasn't actually calling you a bitch, Tagg. I was kidding.
Sean, why do you care what some random stream viewer has to say about you or your team? I think Pyour/Seagull/Zbryan/Justin/Fragile are secure enough with themselves to take a handful of jabs from random aliased stream watchers. I would hope that you are as well. You don't need to shield them from low grade trolling that they'll never know about much less care at all about.
If you, or any other streamer dont feel like streaming, fine. I'm not going to put anyone in an armbar to stream scrims -- I just think if our endgame goal is to continue growing TF2, having consistent content being presented by the invite teams is helpful to that end. We want casuals (people that don't click every tf.tv thread, or know much of anything about the players) to get to know the top team players and their personalities. As we continue to cast multiple invite games a week, having our viewers get to know the players as more than just _____ playing _____ class will help engage them with the game/scene.
So, I urge the invite teams to consider streaming a few scrims a week. I honestly believe it will help. I'm looking at you, Tagg. Bitch.
Sal cant make this weeks Fully Charged; however, Lange + seanbud + truktruk are poised to fill in the immense gap left by Mr. Ginger. We're going to take a more casual approach this week -- just friends shooting the shit and talking tf2. With three of our biggest tf2 streamers, we'll talk streaming as well.
Special pre-Christmas giveaways after. Strange enigma signed scatter gun. Amazon.com gift cards. Maybe a pizza. DONT. MISS. OUT.
It'll be at the same time (8:00 EST) but will be streamed at Lange's channel. Join us at www.twitch.tv/langeh for the fun.
Questions for the buds to answer? Anything you'd like discussed? Feel free to post in here!
MarxistDont worry you're probably safe setting your clock for 5:30 and prolly hitting snooze at least once ;)
but he'd miss our dynamic pre-game bullshit :[
4812622Chiming in with frkn here, if they allow the best and most common unlocks, there's no reason that Scouts can't use the FaN or BFB if they want to.
also wha cbear gunboats are what make roamer fun to watch :C
it's just my (unpopular) opinion
accomplishing the roamer job while not taking heals without gunboats is, in my awful/wrong opinion, more impressive/fun to watch
i understand they're not going anywhere, and i've made peace with them being a staple in our meta, i just generally dont enjoy watching the tactics gunboat soldiers employ
old, crusty, mad, bad, etc.
1650 high point, settled at around 1350
dat spy play
so hard not to die laughing during the cast :>
GGs, off to a great start!
DJC + me are planning on casting mixup vs. AG on my channel akin to last night. KBK will be doing the camera work from the start, so the awful lagouts should be avoided.
Game starts at 11:00 est @ www.twitch.tv/cbear on cp_process
its now twitch.tv/cbear -- VOD is there
twitch john doin' everything
AG vs. bp (banny/cyzer team) tonight @ 11:00 EST on cp_process
The fabled tftv stream channel isn't quite ready for the big show yet, so DJC will join me to open up the invite season on my twitch channel -- www.twitch.tv/cbear.
My internet still drops from time to time, resetting my stream. If this happens tonight, just refresh in 5-10 seconds and it should be back to normal.
Come check out the first invite cast of the season!
Edit: Mr.Slin will be doing the camera work for us. Thanks be to slin.
We decided to change up the format for this weeks fully charged. Instead of having our guests join us from the start, we're going to have a host-only section to begin the show. DJC is going to join Sal and me to go over the non-topic tf2 things. After 20-25 mins, we'll bring in the guests (this week being milehighmilitia and Kapow to talk new-to-invite teams) and have more focused discussion. Hats after as always.
So, tune in tomorrow (Wednesday) @ 8:00 est and let us know what you think.
